Howdy and How's things?
I am MsDuck and am new to writing for the PPC but not to reading it.
Anyhoo, i'd like to get started by saying that I come equipped with two Agents, a baby penguin and a pool filled with exploding ducks.
I think i'll deal more with 'rare' fandoms. (Rare being subjective of course.)
Pleasantly,
MsDuck -

Have a prinny suit. It has the unusual side-effect of making you say 'dood' after every sentence. It looks like a penguin with small demon wings on the back and a pouch for explody and/or pointy objects. A Scarf of Non-Explodiness, which negates the explosiveness of prinnies when thrown, is optional. The suit will go well with the baby penguin, at least.

Have an egg whisk! It's shiny, gold-plated, and whisks not only eggs but author wraiths and spambots, too! Use it for good and not evil.

Welcome to the PPC! Please deposit your sanity in the provided receptacle. *holds out bucket marked "Warg fodder"* We don't tend to have much use for it here. I'm sure you'll be quite happy here. If not, there's always brainwashing and torture.
Enjoy.

If it's alright i'd like to start a new Department called the Department of Deconstruction.
The idea is that it's a sub-department of Research that deals with breaking things down to understand them better.
Is that acceptable? -

Thinking on it further, I think it'd be best to make it an affiliate but not part of the PPC since the tone is radically different.
Anyway, I should have at least an introduction up in a day or two. -

First of all, welcome, welcome, welcome. :) It's always nice to meet new people. My gift to you is a stuffed duck - use it wisely. Please feel free to leave your sanity at the door.
That said, crazy as we are, we have some rules of ettiquette that are considered rather important to follow. First off, I'm guessing by your exploding ducks and such that you've already read The Original Series? If not, please, go and do that right now. :) Also, have a look around the PPC Wiki - again, if you haven't already.
That said, it's good to see you're so enthusiastic, having two agents ready already, but you see, we have a policy that requires any writer to be an active participant on this board for at least a month before asking Permission - this link will tell you all you need to know. The main one is the month-long wait, and the point is that we need to get to know you before a senior member - a Permission Giver - can reasonably give you permission to write your own PPC stories.
So this really isn't the time to be starting new departments, let alone something that is only affiliated with the PPC. A deconstruction department would probably fall under Intelligence quite easily anyway, so there's no need to seperate yourself. Also there is already a Sub-Department of Rare Fandoms, which it sounds like your agents would fit into quite well.
I hope I haven't discouraged you. Please feel free to join in on any discussions, no matter how inane. We love to talk.
Cheers,
- Sedri -

I have in fact read the OS.
*now attempts to dig herself out of this lovely hole*
What I was trying to say was that upon reflection, i'd be bad at writing PPC stories since I can't stomach badfics.
I was babbling about writing something separate from the PPC.
However, I still plan on following the PPC with a hikkikomori fanaticism.
Apologetically,
MsDuck
P.S - Thanks for the duck! :D -

Here, let me help you. *offers hand* Holes are not a fun place to be.
You don't have to actually write stories to be part of this community, of course, but if you want to, I'm sure you could find some form of badfic that you could mock. What is it about them that upsets your stomach? Bad spelling and grammar? OOC-ness? Plotholes big enough to sink the Titanic?
PS - welcome! *quacks* -

... the PPC of course has no authority over anything claiming to be affiliated with it. Just to point that out.
