That's nothing. There have been far longer and more involved RP threads than that one in the past.

Why don't we move to Invision or Proboards or PHPbb or something? That way, old topics wouldn't fall into the abyss, and discussions would be somewhat easier to follow. Plus, it would be prettier!
Seriously, you're really annoying, you know that? Every time I click on a thread you make I know you'll be complaining about SOMETHING. Just...stop.
If Helio's threads annoy you, don't click on them.
Let's see, quick rundown of the threads I've made, from memory:
You're not required to like everyone on the Board. You are required to be polite to everyone on the Board. If what you have to say can't be phrased in a respectful way, then keep it private.

To give a rundown of the usual responses, because:
a) This is where everything links to, including the Oddlots homepage which we can't edit.
b) When we have our occasional heated debates, it's actually better that they drop into said abyss.
c) For the PPC, it's better to have a Board that's constantly moving than one where topics get pushed back to the top when commented on, since it means new topics don't get lost, old ones don't get dragged out by a couple of people, and any particularly interesting ones can be restarted after it falls off the front page.
d) The simple layout is i) traditional, and ii) easy on the eye.
e) People keep coming back after years of absence, and they wouldn't be able to find us.
And f) We're just too stubborn to give up on this place, especially given the weight of tradition behind it now.
And yes, I'm sure I've missed some reasons out. :P

Thank you for showing up in time to prove my point.

Not when you get threads as long as the RP below :P

But it is screen-stretchy and eye-bleedy and results in an entire screen of whitespace!
... when all's said and done, we're comfy here :)
