Eulalia, excelsior, hallelujah, huzzah! She's finally gone! *hands out mysteriously appearing booze*
the Departments of Angst and Bad Slash and Division of Bad Het salute you :)
(I'm cheering for the badfic being dead, of course, not poor Dafydd.)
It's done! It's DEAD! Huzzah!
And you'd better not take another two and a half years to tell us what happened.
*rings bells*
*applauds*
Congratulations!
*grins* I love the Fëanor/Silmarillion references.
And has there, since, been a new division formed for analyzing Suvian devices to prevent another accident like that?
But poor Dafydd couldn't resist the Shiny.
Incidentally, hS, how long did you know what you were going to do with the ring before you started C*l*br**n? Back as far as the Pern mission? As far as getting the ring?

I didn't have the idea back when he acquired the thing -- at the time it was just another in a line of sparklies -- but I know the heavy foreshadowing in DragonRider was deliberate. I'm not sure how long before that... possibly around the time I wrote the Woodsprite mission, or a bit before.

That was amazing. Most brilliant job. The ending was...well, frankly quite epic. It made me scared for a moment there before I ran to check with the wiki. Very nicely done, and I congratulate you on the completion of this gargantuan enterprise.
Whoa. Big words...
It ruins all my cliffhangers.
hS
Just now I know it's not going to be like the end of HP 6/7 that's all. Still don't know exactly what's going to happen.
'Tis a far, far, better thing he did. Happy retirement, Daffyd!

Did Dafydd... just... die?
Ah, *sigh* - I just checked the wiki. I haven't read much of Dafydd before, but I REALLY did NOT want him to die.
Congratsi, hS. That was really, really good.
Unfortunately, since my school intranet has blocked Freewebs, I have to wait until I get home from school. But it's DONE. Like, actually DONE. Apologies for capslock, but it's like HFA II has updated - something I've been waiting for for a long time, while slowly dying of suspense. Well, for about six months, anyway. I'll comment again when I've read it. St00pid school computers... *wanders off muttering about what she'd do if she had access to the server*
*Apologies for any incoherency in this post. It's just it's my birthday in like six days and I'm excited about that as well, and now you've updated this, it's just...squee! 'Kay, done.*
*revives and goes to read*
That ending was brilliant, if you don't mind the pun. But now I'm antsy 'cause I wanna know what happened...gah! So so so so evil! And the bit with the ring...not surprising, recalling that essay, but still...
There are no words.
You are an evil, evil man.
As soon as I get After Midnight done... which at this rate will be around the turn of the century, but still.
hS
You can't leave us all in suspense for another 92 years!
If you attempt to do that, I foresee much hS-poking. With extreme prejudice. And possibly pointy objects.
Specifically, the first part is done (although it'll need revising). Probably... oh, a quarter of it. And I /do/ know what's going to happen. And believe me, I want to be done with it, too.
hS
The thing DIES!
*faints*
Right, now I'm off to read it... I'll post again with lots of compliments later...
I must admit that I was never brave enough to read the original fic itself. You must have minds of adamantium. New recruits, we can always use those - and the outrrrrrrrrageous French orc was much-needed hilarity.
Eep! The ending!
It's finally done? C*l*br**n's dead? *dies of shock* Hooray! And congratulations!
O'course, that was a particularly evil way of ending it. But we all kind of knew it was coming, so yeah.
Sorry... it's exciting! Now, I'm going to fortify myself with chocolate and read it.
