The scenario I'm working with is that they read the first Author's note, say that they have to assume that it's a real person anyway because they got it. Then they get over halfway through the fic and read a new author's note that really confirms that the Sorters didn't read the author's notes, plus a lot of other evidence, and just proceed as normal because the fallout is not their problem. They're working with a (not sure what her classification would actually be) former Sue that was assumed to be a real person.

Basically since they aren't assassins, they can't make the judgement call whether to kill her or try to recruit her.

I'm working with Selfishness, which has a good chargelist regardless of whether or not she's a Sue, Self-Insert, or a Bit.
