As evidenced here. They just puff up, sizzle out and look cute.
Not sure what happens if they grow up, though.

Should a distinction be made between character and person if any missions are ever written? I mean, say if there's a Suefic and the sue is for ASFJerome(a Minecraft Youtuber). This fic doesn't mention World One at all or whether ASFJerome is a bacca(Wookie) or not. Would it be treated like a separate character named Jerome or transporting actual ASFJerome into Minecraft?
Or what about the ones that clearly take place in Minecraft, but reference, say, BajanCanadian's (another Youtuber) nationality in a world with no countries? Should that be treated as RPF or not?
I only ask because of the prevalence, if that is the word, of badfics for the Youtubers that say that they only ship the Minecraft skin, which is bizarre because they're apparently shipping an entirely unattractive collection of blocky pixels on a screen.
I would say that most YouTubers would fall under Real Person Fic. That said, if it were somebody like the Yogscast, where they have a clear character personality and world of their own, then that should qualify as sporkable. When Suethors write about Simon, they are (usually) writing about Honeydew the dwarf who likes to diggy diggy holes, not the overweight Brit who plays video games all day and stuffs his gob full of Jaffa Cakes. Just saying.
(While we are on the subject, PPC Englishmen, what do Jaffas taste like anyway? Are they near as good as Simon makes them sound? As an American, I have no access to them without paying quite a bit online, so I have to ask those who know.)
Actually, can Minecraft fics be missioned anyway? It has no plot, no characters, no real timeline, unless you count the development one. Any story we would try to kill could be argued for as original fic, and so falls outside of our jurisdiction. Thinking about it, I would argue that only smaller, defined universes set in the wider Minecraft 'verse would be workable. Like if there was a Sue running about in Minecraftia from Shadow of Israphel, or the kingdom in CaptainSparkles' music videos, it could be killed.
And yes, before anybody asks, I would think that Minecraft minis would be mini-Creepers. However, the right to create the minis falls to those who make either the first Minecraft fic mission or Minecraft OFU. After all, if I were the final voice in mini creation, we would have mini-Hydras for Percy Jackson and mini-Daleks for Doctor Who. I would not want to take that right away from those who do create these stories. I'm just throwing my opinion out there.
I understand how just Minecraft fics shouldn't count as sporkable. It's just, some fics are so character de-railing and, and...they're some sorta weird RPF hybrid too and ugh, I just can't. Plus, I think Team Crafted sort of counts as a "smaller, defined universe", right? And the Yogscast isn't my fandom, so I can't really say anything about it.
On minis, I always thought they'd be mini-Ghasts. For Percy Jackson...mini-hydras sound good. Maybe mini-Chimeras, though? Poisonous, and fiery.
Nominating Chicken Jockeys as this 'verse's mini.
Baby zombies are bad enough: they don't burn in the sun, can fling themselves out of 1x1 holes in mines into your face, run at near supersonic speeds, and produce what is arguably the next-most terrifying sound that is not a (cave) spider or a Ghast.
Now, they can stalk you over continents and parachute safely into your base using their mounts.
...I need to build myself a lava moat.
Luna's Mane, that thing is scary. Here I thought Spider Jockeys were bad enough!
I guess it's a good thing I don't play unmodded Minecraft anymore. Currently, I'm mostly playing Hexxit. It's a cool little modpack, with a more fantasy, adventure feel to it then the Technic pack. Don't get me wrong, I like science as much as the next guy, but Hexxit fits my play style better. Hopefully those things are not a part of it for a long time!
...But I still say mini-Creeper. It's the most iconic creature in the game! That mob is part of why the game is as infamous as it is! Besides, there is already a mod for them! Look at them:
AWW!!!
A mini which exists solely to blow itself up? That's just... mean.

Maybe the mini version could just blow other stuff up or something? Rule of Funny n'all.

And they do fit the theme of 'major monster but not the main villain, rendered cute by being tiny'. I'm not sure how many will actually show up, though... how hard is it to spell 'zombie'?
(And, for that matter, if it's a generic term... if a story said a character killed a 'peg', would that be a mini, or would it be a, you know, clothes peg?)
hS
Yeah but Zombie's aren't a major monster, creepers are the renowned and most feared mob in Minecraft.
In the example it'd be a mini because pegs don't exist in Minecraft, I'd of thought. If they misspell a mob or something that once misspelt still exists as an object in minecraft then you just get the block or whatever there instead. Although I suppose that wouldn't work for fan nicknames of certain mobs (for example lot's of people call Villagers Testificates or Skeletons Skellingtons)
