For the first one:
"I'm sorry, Dumbledore's gone where?" Madam Pomphrey tapped her foot, a sure sign of impatience.
"To 'far'," replied Professor McGonagall. "Although," she added dryly, "why he would go to a place with a name which lacks a capital letter is entirely beyond me. Perhaps it has something to do with those possessions of Mr. Weasley's which are not good; if not, then I can only assume the Headmaster was in too much of a hurry to bother with the rules of capitalization."
"Did he happen to mention when he would be back?" the school nurse asked.
The Deputy Headmistress shook her head. "I'm afraid not, Pomona."
Madam Pomphrey scowled. "Typical. Right when I've had beds vandalized, the Headmaster takes a holiday."
"Vandalized?" McGonagall repeated sharply.
The nurse's scowl deepened. "Yes, vandalized, Minerva. Three of the beds have 'this is non-cannon' scrawled across them in capital letters. Two of the walls have 'I own nothing but my plot' in the same."
"Well," the Transfiguration teacher said briskly, "perhaps it was a patient. After all, anyone else would surely find it obvious that beds are not cannons." At Madam Pomphrey's completely unimpressed look, she added, "Or perhaps another of Mr. Weasley's rogue possessions is to blame. I will speak with him."

And there I'm ending, with apologies for not really concluding (and, for that matter, not using even most of the elements of the summary. Should someone else wish to write a different take on this one, you're welcome to.)
Also, wow, it's been a while since I wrote HP fanfic. But that was fun :)
