It looks like it's going to be a Gaia-only thing, alas, but I gave it a trial run (i.e. I recreated Nume's avatar) and everything looks pretty good. There's no sort-by-color button, but you can use multiple search terms to look for stuff like "green glasses" or whatever. Plus, you can view the character in both genders and from all angles, both standing and kneeling, which is kinda cool.

If you want a Gaia-style avatar, but don't feel like making a Gaia account, I will take requests. Useful information includes hair color and style, eye color and shape, general expression, skin tone, clothes style/colors, additional stuff like glasses, jewelry, tattoos, scars, horns, wings, etc., and any potential handheld objects that symbolize what they're all about. I can't promise how quickly I'll be able to fulfill them—the next couple of weeks I know I'm going to be pretty busy and hopefully publishing some things—but I'll do my best. I like making these guys. ^_^
