Have some lemming repellent, dear newbie, and welcome! I see you like Wholock. I just recently finished a Doctor Who marathon, so I'm really excited about... well, everything.

Shared fandoms! Yay!
Also, nice to meet you! Welcome! And sorry for being so late about this...I cite the extenuating circumstances of being on a five-day trip/vacation with no internet :)
So yes, welcome to the Board! Have some tasty Swiss Bleepolate, for when you need to get those nasty details off your mind! This bleeproduct distracts you with chocolate-y goodness while dulling horrific memories, and is often much sought-after by chocolate-addicted PPC agents who have just completed particularly bad missions. Also...*rummages through closet*, have a...thing. It was never described properly, so the most it's ever settled on is that it's small enough to be held in one hand. Occasionally, it can be convinced to turn shiny, and then be used to distract unwantedly-homicidal partners.
Ireland is fun. Do you live there, or just love it? Also, how and when did you discover the PPC?

I've just started watching BBC Sherlock myself, and I'm a longtime Doctor Who fan.
For a welcoming gift, I offer you this replica of Caladbolg – it won’t cut the tops off hills (maybe molehills, but not actual hills), but it does leave a rainbow arc behind the blade when swung.

Welcome to the Board, and enjoy the craziness.
As for your gift, hmmm...
Aha! Have a genuine Pokemon-verse bag of holding! Like the TARDIS, it is bigger on the inside than on the outside! Great for carrying your sundry PPC items!

A gift from teh Specs:
An Adventuring Sword!
With each new level, this sword transforms to match the style and morality of its wielder. Also makes a good carving knife in a pinch!

Welcome, welcome! Hmm... *searches through bag of random stuff* Ooh! Have this cardboard box full of packing peanuts! It's great for storage and playing! There might be a bit of old sticky hard candy hiding in there, though. Anyway, see you around the Board!

Welcome to the Board! Have some of my hydrophobic water to commemorate the event. A litre a day keeps the Ultralisks at bay. Or not. I don't know. Maybe if you force-fed it...?
A Doctor Who fan, eh? Obligatory question: which incarnation of the Doctor is your favourite? I am a fan of his fourth form, though nine was fantastic as well.

Welcome to the Board, Jess! I be KittyNoodles, and as a welcome gift I have placed bleepnerds and one Odd Container* in your inventory!
*Odd Container
Item Level 1
Use: Open to receive one shower of confetti or one huggle - your choice.
[This container is perfectly spherical and appears to be made of glite-painted wood. Its weight changes at odd intervals, and you have the feeling opening this container may prove hazardous to your health...]

Welcome to the board! Here is a lovely bottle of vintage Bleepka. You'll need it if you're hunting for Sherlock badfic.
Speaking of which, I love Sherlock too! I can't wait till they start up the BBC series again.

Hello Jess (if you don't mind me calling you that, as I already know a Jessica, so this is less confusing for me). Do you have a family connection to Ireland? Any interesting traditions or stories? I know some of my paternal ancestors are probably from there in the C18th, but that's distant enough that there's no oral tradition or anything in the family.

And Doctor Who is fan-TAS-tic. Glad to see another Whovian joining the fold!

If you're looking to get Permission at some point, it's a good idea to read this: http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/Permission
Since you're new, it might be a good idea to read the Newbie FAQ, found here: http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ:ForNewbies
Also, please ensure that you've read the Constitution: https://docs.google.com/document/pub?id=18hztHpDehxcfrjaXoFUew1vb0BdZPDAusHxMHzHiCzM (This bit is very important!)
On a side note, may I ask how you found us? It's always good to know where we get our newbies from!

As other Boarders have said, you don't have to work on Permission right away. We don't mind if you just enjoy the general craziness of the PPC for a while, and in fact it's encouraged to get to know people around here before you try for Permission.
I think you'll find that we're quite the friendly bunch. Some of us are also fans of Sherlock and Doctor Who, and I think there might even be some Irish folks around here somewhere. You'll have plenty of people to talk to, at any rate, and you might make some friends while you're at it.
That said, welcome a-Board!

Just hang around and get involved with the general insanity. Permission's not that important, if you don't plan on writing for the PPC.

Have a candy necklace and a poison pen! The latter can be used to inflate the egos of Sues and Stus.
