Zeb woke, sniffing curiously. "Do I smell Bleep-stuffs?" he asked hopefully, raising his head to look at Rina, who was in the bathroom and apparently making faces at her new reflection.
"Yeah, the entirety of FicPsych sent a gift basket, can you believe it?" she replied, quickly pulling her tongue back behind her teeth and pointing at the coffee table.
Zeb looked and would have raised his eyebrows if he'd been a human. "Wow, that's... that was very nice of them," he said softly.
"Isn't it, though?" Rina said, smiling. "I wonder if Nurse Jenni had anything to do with this. Nice lady. Wish they hadn't gone overboard with the alcohol, though. I don't like the stuff and apparently can't get drunk anyway now unless I try really, really hard."
Zeb gave a half-shrug. "Well, there's certainly quite a lot of it, from what I can smell," he said, spearing something that looked like a Pecha Berry with a foreclaw and sniffing it. It smelled very similar to Pecha Berries, so he popped it in his mouth. "Oh, that is good."
"Try the oranges, they're also fantastic," Rina advised. "And remind me to send a thank-you note later. This is just... wow, you know?"
"Bit overwhelming, yeah," Zeb agreed, gnawing on the pit in the center of the Pecha lookalike. "Mm, this is really good."
Rina laughed and came over to sit next to him, grabbing the giant jar of ale from the basket and opening it. "Let's see how much of a lightweight new me is, shall we?"
