I'm trying to finish up an Indiana Jones mission that speed-ages the poor guy to over 100 years old. The Suethor doesn't describe how he (or anything else) looks, so I was going to base my description on George Hall's "Old Indy" from The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
However, according to the reviews on Amazon, the official DVD releases cut all of Hall's scenes. Does that make his Old Indy noncanon?
. . . my instinct would be to use the appearance of Hall!Indy, simply because there's nothing else in the published canon to go by. Since "Old Indy" doesn't directly contradict canon, and is the closest thing we have to Indy being one hundred years old, it seems reasonable that the Word World would default to that.
But that's just my take on the problem.
Hall's original scenes clearly exist:

so I would definitely say they're canon anyway.
Thanks for the link! It's been too long since I watched that series, and I didn't tape it at the time. There's only one photo (that I've found) of Old Indy on the Indiana Jones wiki.
My concern was that Lucas has gone back and changed canon before (Han shot first), I wasn't sure if he'd ever said that he didn't like Old Indy so it didn't happen.
I think you could call it something along the lines of Word of God, because it does not sound uncanon per-se, but it is not anon either. Hmmm... I'd say, file it under justified fanon or outright noncanon, though that sounds a little harsh seeing as it was going to be canon, just got cut later. Just my thoughts though.
