"Search about a game called Persona 5," Marina said. "It sums it up too, without all the flourish. And seems actually good." She took a look at the hand Farah offered, "Just to be sure, you're not using a DORKS or anything technological? I tend to short these things out with my hands..."

Unfortunately this isn't a prompt. My laptop is not working at the moment, and I don't have an ETA for it getting fixed. While I do have the family computer to use when I can, I can't use it regularly and so I may not be able to post a prompt next Monday. If someone wants to come up with one (or two) and post it in my stead, be prepared to do so (but NOT UNTIL NEXT MONDAY), you never know, it may all be back to normal before then. I'll try and let you know over the weekend.

"For my sake, as much as anyone else's." Tom frowned. "I'm not the best fighter, and I'm pretty sure that 'I shall not expose my fellow agents to Lovecraftian abominations from outside reality' is already on The TIANTDATPPC list. If it isn't, it probably should be."

Thoth didn't bother commenting on this. In his estimation, he could take on all three of them and win. Then again, it was possible there were some factors he'd overlooked. And he didn't particularly want a fight.

"Marina," she said after a short moment. She then raised her staff slightly, "I'm a wizard," she deadpanned. "And you're... sneakier than you look like."

Charlotte laughed. "It's not every day you see agents about to throw down. Hopefully we can avoid that today, though? I'm a lot squishier than I used to be, and not very good at fighting, so I'm really not looking to start a fight."

"Thoth got a bit... touchy about the weapons being waved around." Tom shrugged. "I forgot about that. There was so much else going on. Anyways, it was far from being a brawl."

Thoth nodded his assent. "Diplomacy prevailed, despite my... decision."

"Anyways, people talked about it?" asked Tom. "I didn't reckon anyone noticed..."

As far as I can determine, Kat said both lines in the sequence:
“Whatever. I’m so bored I think I want a mission.”
Kat would probably regret that as soon as they did.

Why does this warrant three paragraphs? I would put it all into one:

Also, concerning paragraphs, this text would be much easier on the eye if you put extra blank lines between paragraphs, like you can see in the other stories for this prompt. You don’t see this done in print, because there it would waste a lot of paper (so print media have more sophisticated standards, like indenting the first line of each paragraph), but blank lines between paragraphs are a quasi-standard on the web. (Neshomeh already told you this, but you may not have understood what she meant by "double-space between paragraphs".)

If I could be talked into playing a game of cards, we apparently would play different games here in Germany. Thus, not recognizing the rules, I can’t be sure which climax this is building up to before we’re cliffhangered by the beeping console. (Edward only wins if he can force out that king? He’s aiming for a total victory, not letting Kat get a single trick?) But I can see the build-up anyway. Well played.

Took me a bit of time to figure out which section of Killed Badfic to look at (why didn't I just ask? I have no idea. Why did I start from the top and thus search almost every page before finding it? It seemed like a good idea at the time). Anyway, it seems you were in the Video Games section, looking at a mission by Ellipsis Flood...and I'm quite happy to tell you that the mission isn't lost forever! It's just using an older (or just different) link, apparently. This should be the mission you're looking for! (It won't link properly because it's an archived link that thus looks like two in one, so I'm just going to paste it in like so: https://web.archive.org/web/20150814155403/http://flooding-ellipses.net/template.php?src=mission1.ppc )

Ellipsis Flood, on her user page and agent pages, lists two (archived) sites (okay, there's also a third with "older missions" on it), neither of which, interestingly enough, match the link that isn't working. Probably what we ought to do is go through and make sure that the links work, replacing where necessary. In the meantime, I suggest going through her agent pages (all of which are linked on her user page here!)

Mind you, while we're on this topic: pretty much all of IndeMaat's mission links don't work, at least on the Killed Badfic page. I forget if there's a working link elsewhere; I do vaguely remember years ago thinking I was going to go around replacing the links. I'll...look into that again, hold on...

Right, yeah. The links exist, I believe for almost all the missions, if memory serves. I or someone else should replace those links as well. I think it's just on the Killed Badfic (TV Shows, DW/Torchwood and the A-Team, mainly) page where they don't work; I tried a couple on the agent pages, and they seem to be working fine.

So I'm a rando who browses the Wiki. I was browsing Killed Badfics when I found that the mission to "Angel of darkness" was dead - it links to hosting site ads now, and it looksnlike the domain expired. Wayback doesn't have a backup for anything ither thsn front page, so you may wanna check the other missions by the same author. Sorry if this was sn annoyance, figured you all might want to know.

But I was lazy, so instead of running it through a neural net, I ran it through a Markov Chain algorithm (aka Dissociated Press: the Computer Scientists's standard method of obtaining plausible nonsense). Sophie looked up as the group approached. She'd been trying to decide which hamantaschen to start with -- they all looked and smelled very good. At the sight of potential cookie competition approaching she quickly grabbed one in each hand, just to be safe.

"Hey!" she said. "Nice wig. Not-actually-redheads unite! Heh. Don't think I've met you guys. I'm Sophie!" She held out a hand and then realized that it was full of food, so she stuffed the cookie into her mouth to free it up. "Mmmph!" she said, not caring that it was rude to talk with her mouth full. "Dif if good! Nefer had it before."

If I get permission, I plan to write a few "VR training missions" for my agents using stories from the random fanfiction generator.
