That's the second chocolate cupcake I've received for my birthday, the first one being IRL from my family. Yay, thanks!

I'd actually heard about WolfenDoom before, as Sigma64 (the guy I met on Scratch who I told you about earlier) mentioned it while he was introducing me to more of the fandom. WolfenDoom itself is a bit too dark for me, though. There's a reason why I won't play anything later than the Wolf 3D era.
'Fit makes you feel any better, I do know a little bit about Doom. I watch Aquarius199's videos about terrible Doom WADs from time to time, do you watch him? Thanks to his channel, I know what a Terry Trap is! :D

P.S. I have a theory that if said in a German accent, "Thoth" would sound like "sauce." Think about that the next time you think about Wolfenstein... :D

I dissected a squid once in science class. by

Their spine is like a piece of plastic. Either that, or what I found was actually a piece of plastic that the folks preparing the specimen stuck in there for whatever reason. I also ended up being the only person in my group project group still dissecting the thing by the end of the dissection. Everyone else was too squicked. Mwahaha >:)
Also, I applaud you for that Portal reference. *applause*.

Was the most informative piece i have ever seen on Squids. The information is detailed and astounding.
Although, as it lives in the sea, I will avoid.
One thing I know for sure, is that the ocean is very weird.

I once read an original badfic by

I once read this original badfic that was written with the “humans are slaves to vampires (in the future)” trope, and (I think) the main character’s name was Rogue, but it kept being spelled “rouge” and that was very uncomfortable. I think it was spelled wrong for the whole fic, for whatever reason. Also, I have no idea why I’m typing this.

I like these threads but it's always hard to decide which ones to recommend since I have so many...
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
*The Pony POV-verse by AlexWarlorn
Links: http://alexwarlorn.deviantart.com/gallery/32745467 (read these first), http://alexwarlorn.deviantart.com/gallery/32848832
A terrific story that takes an in-depth look at the affect Discord had on the characters and what comes after. It's more of a psychological look at the effects Discording would have on a pony... and the aftermath is not always pleasant. But the story is well-written and engaging, and incorporates previous My Little Pony series in an interesting way.
* Marionettes by Kendell
Link: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11594755/1/Marionettes
The story is a delightful skewering of the "Villain of the Week" trope with plenty of twists and turns. And it does incorporate canon... up to a point, anyway.
One Piece
*Marie D. Suesse and the Mystery New Pirate Age by Phalanx
Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6328454/1/Marie-D-Suesse-And-The-Mystery-New-Pirate-Age
this is a fic about Mary Sues... all the while taking a deconstructive, and even deep, look into the concept. I can't recommend this one enough for people who like Mary Sue deconstructions.
Harry Potter
*Wish Carefully by Ten Toes
Link: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4356667/1/Wish-Carefully
A delightfully cathartic read that points out the folly of the Death Eaters in a very satisfying way.
Crossovers
*Satellite Eyes by Geyhi
(Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Twilight)
Link: http://twispitefic.livejournal.com/21603.html
Why I like this one is obvious- Buffy shoots down all of Edward's attempts to be romantic in a very satisfying way.
*The Wedding Crashers by dasMervin
(Supernatural and Twilight)
Link: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6721038/1/The-Wedding-Crashers
A gloriously cathartic read as the Winchester brothers (and Castiel) poke holes into the vampires' smug, self-aggrandizing ways.
And this is only a fraction of stories I like!

Polyvore, that site where so many Suethors liked to save outfits their characters were wearing, got shut down a few months ago and now I can't laugh at all the characters wearing crop tops in Hogwarts. >:(

If you copy the encoded story text into Notepad (or something similar) and save as a .html file, then open it in your browser, you can yoink the formatted text from there into your regular word processor. Or just leave it in Notepad and read in your browser.
If there are images you might want to comment on, either linked to or embedded, make sure to save those. They have a tendency to vanish. A broken link in place of actual description also warrants commentary in a sporking, but my slow pace of writing means I've lost way too much funny material this way.

It sounds like a chore having to reformat so much, but I guess it wouldn't be so bad for stories that don't require a lot of direct quotes . . .

You right click on the page you want to copy text from, and select "View Page Source". That opens up a confusing jumble of text and code; you'll probably want to Control+F to find what you're looking for. You'll have to format the text properly because copy-pasting looks like someone code-vomited on the page.
But hey presto, you're good to go.

First off, a beautiful Johnlock figure skating AU: https://archiveofourown.org/works/14298093/chapters/32985759
It's incomplete as of now, but it's not on hiatus and the author has definite plans to finish it. It's just really, really beautiful, and also very accurate when it comes to skating (the footnotes are so helpful).
Next is a Supernatural RPF fic, so most of you probably won't be interested in reading it. For those who do like RPF, though, it's Jared/Jensen in a spy AU. And it's actually well-done and really adorable, I loved it.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/5553827
Sorry they're both on AO3. I know that's not what people tend to use around here, but I vastly prefer it to FF.net, so that's where I read fanfic.
