You should definitely watch the movies, and I should probably read the books. I had no idea he was Hiccup the first in the books.

Hello! I am dragon master7, know as rider ranger47 on the PPC wiki. Thought I do not intend to request permission anytime soon,I do run a How to Train Your Dragon fanfiction wiki and often report badfics as part of my administrative duties. I also read the Rangers Apprentice series, the Brotherband Chronicles, the Maze Runner series, and some Harry Potter.
Welcome from both of us! The Zlang-Zlang Squid would like to offer you a shiny pebble as your welcome gift!

What I think TheShyIon was meaning was that to differentiate between the two completely different canon's he calls the Hiccup of the moves 'the first' and the Hiccup of the books 'the third'
IMO the books are cool, and really well written and the movie is a let down in that regard, but if they'd released the movie as its own thing it'd of still been just as awesome (or maybe saying based on HTTYD, not calling it such)
Your idea is cool, too, but I still like my "this is the first one" headcanon better. And hey, maybe book!Toothless really *does* have a royal bloodline.
Though probably not to any "Toothless Daydreams." ;)
I mean, come on! Nee-a crappa in a de hoose? You can't get much funnier than that! I probably butchered that so much
I think what really created the difference between Book!Canon and Movie!Canon is that the producers or whoever decided drama would sell better than wacky hijinks.
Also, where is my Toothless Daydream? And why does that sound like a cocktail or something?
I had no idea how different the movie Hiccup was from the book Hiccup. Another reason I should read the books....
Welcome to the Board! Here, have a Terrible Terror with a dark grold collar, and one of my own shed feathers besides! :)
(So that's who's been making those edits!) Nice to meet you! Have some Chocolate Frogs and a mostly-historically-accurate Viking helmet!
Also, don't worry about getting Permission just yet. We don't generally let people who are too new have it. I'm sure many of us have asked you this already, but have you read the Original Series yet? If not, you should do so; it's fun, it's informative, and a lot of our longest-running jokes come from it. :)
Enjoy your stay!
Yes, I did read some of it but not all of it. I will probably will get around to reading more of it soon.
And ERMEHGERD YOU READ RANGER'S APPRENTICE! In lieu of that, I bestow upon thee as thy newbie gift: a howling pocket heron! If the urple bow around its neck becomes too much, feel free to remove it.
But... only some HP? How is this possible?! Nah, kidding. But I seriously recommend you finish it. The Big Reveal will blow you away.
I read all of Harry Potter, but the longer the time after reading it the less impressed by it I get.
Whenever I read HP again, I’m re-impressed for different reasons. There’s always something I didn’t realize on first (or second or third) read. Which reminds me: I planned to do some analyzing of HBP this winter, and I still didn’t begin. It’s time to go there again.
Welcome, newbie!
HG
Anyway, welcome a'Board. I hope you enjoy your time in our little den of insanity.

Yeah, this place has a lot of insanity. I got up this morning and my inbox had exploded and now random users are giving me kittens and things. Go figure.
You're actually allowed to deal with badfics as an admin? As a former admin of a Power Rangers fanfic wiki I am jealous. What brings you to the PPC?
You'll probably be getting a lot of newbie gifts soon, so here's a bottomless bag to put them all in. Don't worry, it has lots of pockets so you shouldn't lose anything inside.
I report some of the fics on my wiki, and no one exactly knows about it. I would rather keep it that way too. I found the PPC via Sannse's blog post on Wikia Community Central about her favorite wikis.
For a minute I had hope that there was an actual fanfic wiki that filters its content for quality. I gave in to temptation and sporked one of the so-bad-I'm-not-sure-it's-not-a-trollfic stories on my own wiki. The author was less than thrilled, even though she (?) only found out when I apologized for it.
yeha, I should probably do that.
That's the problem I ran into. SPaG's objective--either you do it right or you do it wrong--and you could get rid of pages that go unfinished for months, but how would you define a fic as "bad" in a way that wouldn't cause a thousand arguments?
Yeah, that is going to be a problem. I suppose all fics could be reviewed and rated before posting would be allowed, but that would only give my opinion on it. After all, their klink is not my klink.
Is that a non-sexual version of kink? I've never seen it before, except as a sound effect for the falling of metallic objects. Of course, that's usually "clink," but...
This is the klink I was talking about: http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/YKINMK
I guess, what is the difference? And what does (NM) mean?
A kink is something people like in bed, and occasi
A kink tends to be about the stranger sorts of things people do in bed, and occasionally out of bed.
A klink is a metal noise,
One (nm) means no message in the message box,
And two mean someone's got some Bleep-candy.
I am Voyd, eccentric extraordinaire.
Here, have a chicken pot pie.
