I need to go listen to that song now.
Pine!Kirk, I think, would like "Sexy and I Know It". Not because he is attractive, but that he thinks he is.

Which song?
Oh, yes, he'd probably like that one. Headcanon accepted. By the way, have you ever come across the dramatic reading? It's absolutely hysterical.

I see where you're coming from on that. "Traveling at the speed of light" is obvious, but the rest of it too.
Speaking of songs that remind us of Star Trek: "Come Sail Away" by Styx has the lines "I thought that they were angels/But to my surprise/We climbed aboard their starship/And headed for the skies." And the first verse reminds me of Kirk (looking forward), the second of Picard (introspective), and the lines "And we'll try/best that we can/to carry on" reminds me of Janeway.
Dramatic readings?
Time for Kitty to be awesomely obvious!
Character: Rebakah Cooper
Canon: The Provost's Dog trilogy by Tamora Pierce
Artist: Heather Dale
Reasoning: I'm not sure if she would enjoy all of Heather's songs, but I feel as though Beka would definitely appreciate "One of Us".
For some reason the song 'Going In For the Kill' by La Roux always reminds me of the Black City and the song 'When I Ruled the World' by Coldplay always reminds me of George Cooper.
...with 'When I Ruled the World'! Most definitely. Not entirely sure why, but it seems to work...
(If I butchered the English in any way, you are welcome to brick me for it.)
George and "When I Ruled The World" are like eggs and bacon. You're not sure why, but they work wonderfully together.
Haven't heard the other one, though... -off to YouTube!-
ever since I read this one BBC Sherlock fanfiction that quoted Radiohead lyrics (I think it's fairly well known but I have forgotten the name. Argh.) I imagine Sherlock would like Radiohead a lot.
Especially Karma Police: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBH97ma9YiI
Are we doing this for whole bands, or can we do individual songs?
I'm going to have to say right now that Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls would really like Owl City. Here's "When Can I See You Again": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7eajYbsjQc I think the upbeat rhythms, Sweet Dreams Fuel themes, and sometimes-weird but generally very sweet lyrics would appeal to her. And yes, this is the same song I said would probably be Agent Jack's theme song.
Finn from Adventure Time would probably enjoy DragonForce. If you haven't heard that band, I don't blame you, but here's a classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaSYvvfzYaE It's a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, but in my opinion Finn would love it for the metal and for the somewhat meaningless but still badass lyrics. I know I do.
...Is *this* world. Called this so as to not be confused with alternate earths.
Ah, thanks. I don't think I've run into the term before, so I got confused and started wondering if it meant bands in the characters' canon, which seemed a bit strange...anyway, thanks :)
