Star Trek, obviously.

Character: Captain Kathryn Janeway
Canon: Star Trek: Voyager
Artist: Bonnie Raitt
Reasoning: While most of her songs are about love, they're usually a woman-takes-charge view, and I feel that the song "Love Me Like a Man" was Janeway's challenge to any guy who would want her. Especially the lines about "Find a man to take me home" and "Love my backbone, would you?" Also, both Bonnie Raitt and Janeway have rougher voices that are still compelling.

Character: Seven of Nine
Canon: Star Trek: Voyager
Artist: Enya
Reasoning: Enya's music follows logical patterns and her voice isn't passionate, which would appeal to Seven's Borg side. But the interplay of the different instrumentals and vocal parts makes the music emotional, bringing Seven in touch with her human side. While not really about Seven, when I first listened to "Long Long Journey", it reminded me of Voyager, especially the chorus: "Long long journey/Through the darkness/Long long way to go/But what are miles across the ocean/to the heart that's coming home". And for Seven, "Book of Days" is about perserverence and trying to find a new life. After leaving the Collective, Seven had to try to make a new life on Voyager and in human society, and (for the most part) succeeded.
