Tomorrow, we shall receive FOUR new texts from Her Majesty J.K. Rowling herself, as a part of her Magic in North America series:
- The U.S. Hogwarts: Ilvermony
- Skin-walkers: a Native American legend
- The Salem Witch Trials: A formative event for the country’s national magical identity.
- Our Ministry of Magic: the Magical Congress of the United States of America
Actually... I should let THIS VIDEO do all the talking.
A bad thing halfway between silver and antimony. Ductile but brittle, in its pure form it is a wilver, glittery, rock. It is a good conductor of electricity, but only when having that property would remove an obstacle someone is facing.
Sorry, I'll leave.
On reading that I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth. My eyes may or may not have turned red.
I slap my neon all of them! :D
When I heard it, I was like OMg !
Acid to myself, we should stop before this gets out of hand, but nooo...
But it's just so fun.
Pretty Much SFW
"Why can't two cations be together? What if it's true love?"
"So electronegativity is the sex appeal of the atom."
"Hey there; I'm a proton. Are you an electron? Because I'm feeling an attractive force."
Long arguments over whether it would be more accurate to describe carbon atoms as gay or as incestuous, since they like to bond with each other.
Metals are basically communists.
Did you hear about the compound that was a salt before it was cool? It's an ironic compound.
Are you a photon? Because you're putting my electrons in an excited state.

There. I win. You can all stop now. And there's more where that came from.

I'm still a bit confused that the American school is called Ilvermorny, and also that there's apparently one magical school for American wizarding kids, but this should be cool!
This is going to be awesome! I can't wait.
