I'll start by saying that I've seen Sauron's daughter done well. The author has admitted that she only slowly revealed the identity of the character's father because of how quick the Tolkien fandom tends to be about calling female OCs Mary Sues, but my personal opinion is that she never had anything to worry about.

The character is not only born at a time that makes sense, but the reasons for her existence in the first place also make sense: Her patronymic is Annatariel, her mother is a canonically plausible daughter of Caranthir, and Sauron, as Annatar, marrying Celebrimbor's cousin was part of how he integrated himself into Ost-in-Edhil and gained Celebrimbor's confidence. Melamire (the OC) speculates, with some reason, that Sauron had intended to make her one of his lieutenants once he revealed himself, a plan which failed to take into account her free will.
