Happy Birthday! I certainly agree with your cause but as a student with no job (and no money)... well, y'know, guess I'll just comment.

Happy Birthday! I certainly agree with your cause but as a student with no job (and no money)... well, y'know, guess I'll just comment.
I don't always post about it, but this year I'm turning 35, which feels like a significant number. It's also happening at a time when the world is going through massive upheaval, between the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and widespread protests in support of Black lives, both of which bear remembering.
For that reason, I'm using my platform here to ask you to consider marking this occasion by making a donation to a worthy cause. I would suggest the Southern Poverty Law Center, Black Lives Matter, or the Poor People's Campaign.
Don't feel bad if you are a student or otherwise have no disposable income. There are other ways to support justice and equal rights. It starts by simply being aware of systemic racism and of your own privilege, if you're white, to live your life not having to worry about it unless you choose to. Please fight systemic injustice by choosing to hear the voices around you crying for equal treatment. Please choose to care.
Thank you all for being part of my PPC family. <3

P.S. You could always comment on my latest story, too. {; )
Happy birthday!
(Sorry it's so late)

I hope you had a wonderful day, and I wish you...well, it feels a bit different than usual, wishing someone a happy, healthy, and successful year ahead, but...I think I'll do it anyway, and add innerly peaceful into the mix. There are probably very few people in the world right now who couldn't do with a bit of that from time to time.
On a lighter note: you are very much not a newbie, but I hereby present you with my traditional newbie gift of a bar of Swiss Bleepolate, for your amusement. :P

(Yes, I still exist and yes, I’m still here. Just been lurking far too long.)
Hope you have a great day!

And it's really good of you to mention donations for a worthy cause. As humans on Earth, we all deserve the same, and we can all strive to make that a reality. Happy birthday again!
And, thanks, for speaking up about prejudice and discrimination. That's a hard topic to bring up at the best of times.

Happy birthday - it's gonna be a memorable one!
Have a 1/144 scale model of Gundam Marchosias, since it's the 35th Gundam-type suit in its timeline.
Celebrate with a round of your preferred drink that isn't real.
Happiest of birfs, Nesh-Nesh!
Hm... I had a batch of Randomly Generated Cupcakes somewhere, I guess they're gonna just... suddenly appear throughout the day. Anyway, once again yay for birthday!

And yes, seconding this message. I may not have money to spend, but I can realize when it is best to speak up for others. /nods
It's interesting to know that you're just a year or so older than I am. (I'm turning 34 this year)
And congrats on making it this many times around the sun!
Have a great day, Neshomeh!
Yes, please donate if you can. But, as Neshomeh said, there are ways to help even without money. Such as, for example, watching this video! All of the revenue from ads and the like are donated to organizations like the ones above (but don't watch it over and over; YouTube will mark it as spam).
Edited to add: It's slightly infuriating to encounter ads on this video from old white men droning on and on about how racism isn't really a problem and if there IS a problem it's definitely not their fault, but since their marketing dollars are going to a good cause, I will grit my teeth and bear it.
Protip: Listen to Black people about what is or isn't a problem for Black people, not the old white men.

I'm pretty sure you can't possibly be 35, though. That would make me 34, and that's ridiculous.
hS
As we all know, hS doesn't age like us humans because he's secretly an elf.
And/or Highlander... but I haven't seen anyone chasing him with swords. Elf is more likely.
Here, let me explain it to you in my crude human language; wait, oh no, my lifespan is so short that I've wasted a statistically significant portion of it merely by typing this post! Alas - were I not so intrinsicly grubby, I might have been able to do better, but being a mere human, I am condemned to constant ineptitude. Frankly, you should be glad I haven't accidentally destroyed your city because my incompetent arrogance got the better of me, Turin.

(Not great, but until they put the Tengwar into the standard fonts it's the best I can do.)
Haha, you're oooold! {; P
