I'm thinking of creating a new branch to handle all the gross fetish stories I'm seeing on Deviantart. It's called the Department of Gross Fetishes (DOGF), and the Flash Patch is a blueberry, balloon and diaper together. Here are two stories I pulled from DA and want to claim: The Round Kingdom and Onara Onara no Mi (Fart Fetish Story). They're both One Piece badfics (warning: latter is a Bleepfic due to the farting sound effects that were used). And yes, I know it's my first post, but I just wanted to highlight this vile breed of badfics.

That said, fetishes and kinks are tricky subjects, and I want to make it clear that we try to judge fanfiction as objectively as possible based on its quality, not based on its subject matter. We're not here to shame others for the fetishes or kinks they like to write or read about (which may or may not reflect what they enjoy in real life). If the story involves a kink being written poorly, propagates harmful misinformation, or generally evidences a lack of research into the subject, that's one thing, but calling a story bad only because it involves a kink you (or even many people) don't personally enjoy, that's an entirely different thing, and not what we're about. When discussing fic of this nature, please remember the principle of Your Kink Is Not My Kink and the PPC Constitution.

So here are the problems I have with the fics I mentioned.

The Round Kingdom involves a Villain Sue (kinda) with a power that exists only to be fetish appeal. (She can inflate people with air or water, or fatten them.) There are also some Series Terminology Minis. Also, they describe Hancock fattening up in quite the purple prose, making it a wonder that she can even walk. And at the beginning of the story, there is quite a focus on Robin and Hancock's bust sizes.

And Onara Onara no Mi. Dear sweet Arcoos, it is quite the Bleepfic. Nami unknowingly acquiring a Devil Fruit that gives her weapons-grade farting powers for kinky reasons, and the sound effects used are quite Bleeprin-worthy. Also, as evidenced by the end of the story, Robin mysteriously has a fart fetish, which is quite OOC and might be evidence of an author wraith/character replacement.

Granted, the Department of WhatThe hasn't seen a lot of print action recently, but it is there and it has dealt with the weirdest of the weird. Anyway, hi, nice to meet you, have some popcorn and a pack of cat-shaped sticky notes

Bad kinkfic would almost certainly fall under the jurisdiction of one or the other in the absence of overriding WTF elements. I feel I must state that "this fic features X kink" probably doesn't count as WTF in a fic clearly labeled as "X kinkfic," even if the kink's existence comes as a surprise. The handling of it may, but I still reckon it's most likely a matter for the department that specializes in adult-content fic.

A division of Bad Slash that handles bad kinkfic would make sense to me, actually. You would want specialized agents who are familiar with good kinkfic and have a formidable ability to practice tolerance when it comes to premises that are squicky to lots of folks.
