I don't have much to say beyond the fact Laurel indeed isn't the worst Sue out there, and I wish you a great journey in your writing endeavors.
Welcome! And thanks so much for being such a good sport. As so many of the others in this thread have said, I certainly have a few bad writing skeletons in my closet, I just never put them online. I look back on them with nostalgia. Without early attempts at writing, none of us would be where we are today, right? Thanks for visiting, it's great to meet you.

Hi! Hello! It seems like there is a lot of catching up I need to do! You all are extremely creative and I can’t wait to read all the variations and spin offs :)
Yeah, I think almost everyone here’s written a Mary Sue at one time or another, including me. But we owe you a huge thanks because without that fic, who knows what the first mission would look like?
Have a mini snek! They come with hats!
I still love an OC. I’ve just learned it’s best not to make them like a blunt tool and too over the top. We like flaws! Lol 😂
It’s nice to meet you, too! Thanks for the snek!
Have a Magical Pie that-I-totally-did-not-steal-from-a-canon-Noooo-how-could-I?
I'll be the... fifth (?) to admit that Laurel Carter wasn't the worst (I, at like 10, wrote a character named "Snowy Jones" that was 10x worse... at least she wasn't in a fanfic, thank the gods), she just happens to be the first, and probably the very reason why we all are here! So thank you! I'm glad to see that there are no hard feelings!
-kA, doing like ten billion things in their head and thus cannot think straight, so apologies if this makes little sense!
I have it on a Word doc here.
I might do the same with Rambling Band itself, based on the hS’ reconstructed version.

“It was not good. Led Zeppelin was made entirely of strings”…that about sums everything up lol!
I would love to read the translation of Rambling Band from the reconstructed version.
I came down with a nasty flu bug and am on the mend. I cannot wait to read these! Thank you :)
Sorry to hear you haven't been well. Glad you're feeling better, though.

...And, having read the actual mission, the translated version might make a bit more sense.
First, I need to make some blueberry muffins...

Like the others have said, were it not for you we might never have existed—so thank you! From one old Suethor to another, it's nice to meet you. :)
And it's so good to hear you've kept on writing! God knows my own earliest fics were a mess (I missioned my old Potter Sue from back in the day) but we all have to start somewhere, eh? Keep that creative spirit alive, because at the end of the day it's all about having fun with what you make.
It’s wonderful to meet you! I’m really blown away by the community here. I can’t believe something I dreamed up (for good or ill) has aided in creating something so fun and long lasting. I look forward to reading around here more!
I'm also brand new to the board, and it's nice to see a fellow writer! And your fic was the first to be sporked by the PPC ever, huh… probably feels weird.
Nice to hear that you're still writing. Embarrassment from getting sporked is only natural, and it's nice to know you've kept going and improved since then.
It’s an honor, really, to be able to talk about this now. Time has given me a lot of perspective about what he MST-ing. If anything, it helped me grow. So I am thankful for that :)
I think it was just one song. It could have been Misty Mountain, but my young brain might have chose Tangerine. I very vividly remember a Tangerine performance.
I have read that one, but it was fun to read it again!
I have many a penance to pay for Boromir! I wrote a series about him about a year or two later that was much better. I still had a lot to learn about writing, though.
I'm glad to hear you've kept on with OCs and romance; if you've got any you'd be okay with sharing, I'd love to check them out. I wonder what you had originally planned for the story with Laurel and her band? Were there plans for her to introduce Thranduil to the joys of Led Zepp harp covers? :'D
