Hello and welcome to the PPC! Have some chocolate. It's good for eating, and also good for throwing to hungry PPCers! Besides, the wrapper is extra shiny, so it makes a decent distraction. PPCers like shiny.

There is very little that makes grammatical nitpickers (like most PPCers) twitch as much as leetspeak. Typing the full word takes approximately one second longer - maybe ten seconds, if you're a hunt-and-peck typist. Still, please take the extra seconds. It will spare many of us an early, neurotic grave.

I rather dislike leetspeak myself, I was attempting to reference a meme, which is the only reason I used it. I also know that memes are rather disliked here as well, but I take that it is less disliked than SPaG errors.

Some memes don't bother people - but using a meme that relies on leetspeak, especially when not everyone gets the meme, is just a bit irritating.
(I actually googled it right after that post, so I didn't realize at the time - either way, it would be much preferred if you avoided the leetspeak in the future.) -

But welcome aboard. As far as I'm aware, no one here has eaten someone (aside from a Mary Sue, but that's just speculation on my part).

Boy is it smokey in here, much too smokey to potentially eat any newbies. Not that I would have anyway, you seem too nice for that. Anyway, welcome the PPC, where sanity and shoes are optional. I've been known to go without both! I've also been known to throw paint filled balloons but that's a different story entirely.
As is customary, I shall give to you this pellet created from the smoke that you left behind. When you throw it it makes other people disappear instead of yourself. -

Greetings, new friend!
Well, I see what your fandoms are, but in what ways do you fan? Do you write fan fiction? What kind? And what kinds of stories do you like to read?
Also, you may have noticed we are currently (re)instating a Little Sibling/Big Sibling program, wherein newbie PPCers are "adopted" by an older member in order to be shown the ropes of our community.
Our current list of houses can be found on this Wiki page: http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/SibHouses#ExistingHouses
Once you've thought a bit concerning what things in the PPC interest you, you can decide which house can best help you find your feet here! -
How I fan by

I don't really fan beyond reading/watching/playing the show/book/game in question and reading the occasional fic. The closest I've come to producing fan content was when I was part of a band that played video game music, but it fell through when our pianist got an actual gig. I've toyed with the idea of writing fanfiction, but I honestly find it more interesting to write my own characters than to play with other people's. Long term, I hope to program a MLP game of some sort, but I'm just a beginner in Java at the moment, so don't hold your breath.

...okay, I don't think I welcomed you at all. So, in that case, welcome to the PPC, have an awesome-laced cookie and some spare NullPointerExceptions.
How much of a beginner are you? Barely getting into object oriented programming or do you have any plans on how to do that whole game thing? -

I have a fairly good idea of what I'm doing. I have a lot of friends who are hobbyist coders, and they've been helping me learn Java for about three months now. This will be my first attempt at coding a substantial game from scratch- I've made games before, but they've all been primitive stuff like Pong or Asteroids.

I may be able to oblige. Our base player said that he kept recordings of the final oot concert, so when I see him next I'll ask him for a copy.
On another note, I just noticed how badly written my final sentence of my previous post was. Is there any way to edit comments on this forum after they're posted? -

Welcome to the Board! Have some of my hydrophobic water to commemorate the event. Works great as a spot remover*!
Before you start posting, there are a few things you should read to get a sense of what's going on here.
Firstly, there's the Constitution which are Da Rules we follow for conduct and posting.
Then, there's The Original Series, the original PPC missions which, in my opinion, are a must-read.
The Guide to the PPC and the Newbie Guide should answer all of your questions on the workings of the PPC.
Now with that out of the way, what are your fandoms? We've got a lot of different people who love a variety of fandoms, so finding somebody who has something in common with you shouldn't be too hard.
