Hey, everybody! I'm a first-time poster here, and I just wanted to drop by to introduce myself. *disappears in poof of smoke*
I'm like the scary, yet lovable hobo around here. I'm kind of broke, so... *Hands over explosive lint*.
...
Weirdest purchase I ever made....
Here is a bottle of Bleeprin for the badfic and a pile of chocolate to celebrate the goodfic!
Hope you enjoy your time here! :)

Belatedly: Hello there. Here, have a cup of nice, refreshing, tasty green tea. Just take care and don't let the leaves eat you.
Don't worry, most of us don't eat people. The furniture on the other hand is known for it! Take this poking stick to defend yourself and we hope you enjoy your stay.
Discworld reference, I take it? I'm gonna love this place.
And we certainly hope you do.
Hi, have some fudge!
Hello and welcome to the PPC! Have some chocolate. It's good for eating, and also good for throwing to hungry PPCers! Besides, the wrapper is extra shiny, so it makes a decent distraction. PPCers like shiny.
It's a piping plover, courtesy Fluttershy.
Your disappearance was suspectly similar to Bilbo's in Fellowship of the Ring.
Can I have that precious little ring you have in your pocket?
There is very little that makes grammatical nitpickers (like most PPCers) twitch as much as leetspeak. Typing the full word takes approximately one second longer - maybe ten seconds, if you're a hunt-and-peck typist. Still, please take the extra seconds. It will spare many of us an early, neurotic grave.
I rather dislike leetspeak myself, I was attempting to reference a meme, which is the only reason I used it. I also know that memes are rather disliked here as well, but I take that it is less disliked than SPaG errors.
Some memes don't bother people - but using a meme that relies on leetspeak, especially when not everyone gets the meme, is just a bit irritating.
(I actually googled it right after that post, so I didn't realize at the time - either way, it would be much preferred if you avoided the leetspeak in the future.)
But welcome aboard. As far as I'm aware, no one here has eaten someone (aside from a Mary Sue, but that's just speculation on my part).
Have a spiffy hat and an anvil. Anvil are great for any comedic situation you may find yourself in and the hat... Well, who doesn't need a spiffy hat? :P
Boy is it smokey in here, much too smokey to potentially eat any newbies. Not that I would have anyway, you seem too nice for that. Anyway, welcome the PPC, where sanity and shoes are optional. I've been known to go without both! I've also been known to throw paint filled balloons but that's a different story entirely.
As is customary, I shall give to you this pellet created from the smoke that you left behind. When you throw it it makes other people disappear instead of yourself.
All my life I feel as if I've been missing something, without ever knowing what it is.
This is that thing. *single tear*
Don't be shy, we won't eat you (at least, most of us won't). As a welcome gift, have a propeller cap! It'll take you wherever you need to go as long as you keep your fingers away from the propeller.
I don't really fan beyond reading/watching/playing the show/book/game in question and reading the occasional fic. The closest I've come to producing fan content was when I was part of a band that played video game music, but it fell through when our pianist got an actual gig. I've toyed with the idea of writing fanfiction, but I honestly find it more interesting to write my own characters than to play with other people's. Long term, I hope to program a MLP game of some sort, but I'm just a beginner in Java at the moment, so don't hold your breath.
...okay, I don't think I welcomed you at all. So, in that case, welcome to the PPC, have an awesome-laced cookie and some spare NullPointerExceptions.
How much of a beginner are you? Barely getting into object oriented programming or do you have any plans on how to do that whole game thing?
I have a fairly good idea of what I'm doing. I have a lot of friends who are hobbyist coders, and they've been helping me learn Java for about three months now. This will be my first attempt at coding a substantial game from scratch- I've made games before, but they've all been primitive stuff like Pong or Asteroids.
Are you using stuff that comes with Java, or an external library?
I'm using Pulpcore.
It has some overhead, what with all the 3D stuff, but it works for me.
I'd love to hear some, if any recordings are still sitting around!
I may be able to oblige. Our base player said that he kept recordings of the final oot concert, so when I see him next I'll ask him for a copy.
On another note, I just noticed how badly written my final sentence of my previous post was. Is there any way to edit comments on this forum after they're posted?
The good thing is, that's incentive for us to read over what we've typed before we hit that Post button. Keeps us on our toes. Our typing toes! Aka, fingers.
Hi!
I am StarShadow. I am also somewhat new here. Your newbie gift is a paradox. No it isn't.
I kid, I kid, newbies are too shiny for my stomach to handle. And they taste faintly of mint. Ugh.
...
N-not that I'd know whywouldIknowsomethinglikethathahaha! *awkward smile*
A-anyway, have a cute flying thing I found in the woods!
It's not a parasprite, honest! *bad poker face*
Hello, I'm reasonably new here myself. Do tell us about fandoms and the like.
Also I would like to present you with these two sporks. Perfect size for eye gouging ... that sounded less creepy in my head.
:) Have a biscuit and a llama. There, do you feel better?
Llamas have been my favorite animal since I was a kid. You sir, have made my day. The biscuit is just the icing on the metaphorical cake.
Have you ever heard the Llama song? (I'd link to it here, but I don't want to drive anyone mad.)
Have another biscuit, then! They're chocolate-y.
Oh, and I'm a ma'am, but thanks.
...Yes you are. Just as your screenname implies. I'm stupid...
I have heard the llama song. When I get angry at my roommate, I play it on the computer with the volume cranked up.
I tend to get mistaken for a guy online, even with my non-ambiguous screen name.
GENDER-CONFUSE POWERS ACTIVATE!
But have you ever seen a llama kiss a llama?
Don't worry, we don't bite! All crit will be con, I promise. Here, have half a dozen bottles of Bleeprin, someone gave me a whole crate a few days ago. How did you find the PPC?
I heard about you guys on a SCP IRC channel ~3 months ago. I wasn't ready to introduce myself, so I just read missions for a while.
Thanks for the water and the guides! I've read most of the original series, but there are a couple I haven't gotten to yet. Time to rectify that!
