Can you tell that I dislike people who misquote the Lord Of The Rings poem by accident? -

Once this is finished, someone should really sing it and distribute the recording. -

Although... can I make a slight alteration to my line? I seem to have the wrong syllable count compared to everyone else. Can you make it "Three blue unicorns"?

I think it works fine. by

/ Three / Fre // ench / hens /
/ Three / un // i / corns /
It'll still work if you change it, though; it just makes for a divided beat:
/ Three // blue / un // i / corns /
I had to divide a beat for mine, too:
/ Two / tur // tle / doves /
/ Two / mi // ni / Bal // rogs /
So, either way. {= )
~Neshomeh, who hopes her attempts at syllabic notation make sense. -

It's just that I was seeing so many divided beats that I thought maybe you're all thinking of a different version (or that my memory is off, given that I've heard the song all of once).
... That, and everyone else was more creative than me ;) So whatever works for you. -

My family's not big on Christmas - actually, we're about as unChristmasy as you can get without not giving presents all together. I grew up annoyed by most Christmas carols - especially the overtly religious ones - and never bothered to sing them. Usually once I start singing something they're branded in my mind forever, but these melodies tend to escape me.
