How'd he end up that deep in the planetary gravity well when he came out of hyperspace? Why was the fleet charting a course so close to a star system anyway? Why was he flying his interceptor instead of riding in one of the warships he was presumably flying with?
Actually, that's several questions.

I briefly glanced at the first one. Star Wars ships do not mafunction like that! Not even if extragalactic space insects eat holes in the engines!
I don't even remember the author explaining how the ship malfunctioned. I suspect the all consuming power of teh gay trying to set up a convenient sex scene by making him crash on the LOTR planet
