Looked like a mistake, I didn't mean to be rude by pointing it out, just figured I'd ask about it. As for the rest of it, barring a couple grammatical hiccups it's well-written. My ability to comment is rather limited by the fact that I don't want to risk putting spoilers out, heh. I'll shut up and get back to work, now. :P
First up, and heaven knows it's been long enough coming...
Crashing Down: Chapter 19 -- The Oak Has Hit The Ground
In which I start the final cast roundup, the SO demonstrates a strain of blinding ignorance, and there are two major revelations which I rather spoiled by revealing them years ago.
One chapter and one epilogue to go...

The Twisted Skein is home to my non-canon PPC works. This includes the various AU stories I've written, as well as anything taking place in the future -- ie, later than Crashing Down. I've moved The End Of The Beginning over there, along with the AU stuff from Tangled Webs.
The future stuff is something I will treat as canonical in my writings, but it's projected, and pretty unlikely to evolve naturally through the PPC community. So it's not "the future of the PPC" so much as "hS's future of the PPC". Please don't feel any sort of need to take it as authoritative.

I'll have to re-read the whole thing later. Also, you can't blame the SO too much for not knowing about vampires - there are so many different kinds floating around.

I think that was my favorite line. It cut the drama in a very good way. *g*
I caught a couple of things:
1. Captain Dandy rustled his feathers.
-- Really?
2. She [Tango] squeezes his hand and turned away.
-- I assume that's meant to be "squeezed."
Also, I just noticed that the text turns red on mouse-over. Is there a reason for that?
I look forward to the conclusion of the story. And then I'll really have to go back and read everything straight through, because it will be excellent. {= )

I'm not sure what text you're thinking of... the only bit that should change colour is the link up at the top of the page.

But that's different.
I mean the entirety of the body text. Maybe it's just Firefox, or some weird thing about my computer, but when I mouse over the story text, all of it goes red. Not just this chapter, either--I think all of them will do it if I try, and I see nothing in the HTML to explain it. It's kinda cool, but strange.

I switched Tangled Webs over to CSS in the last few days. It runs fine on IE and Chrome, but that's all I've tested it on (and there were some issues that only showed up on IE, so). I'll see if I can spot something that might be doing it.

More "Crashing Down"! And it's as awesome as always. I squeed a bit at both of the revelations.
I don't mean to bother you, but I'm just curious about something. Is the mention of the Waterlily Commander a mistake, or was the DMF&F actually larger than Floaters at that time? Also, I apologise for the delay in the things I'm writing up, but it's been a matter of getting to them (and, in the case of the email, organising everything in a neat manner). Nicely written, I was just wondering about the Waterlily Commander thing.
(I meant the Floating Hyacinth, of course. The /one time/ I rely on my memory...)
