I figured, after being introduced to a member, "why the crap not?" and posted. I'm mainly into old stuff; Nuku Nuku, the old Slayers stuff (haven't seen Revolution yet), Heinlein's writings (good luck finding 'fic in THAT 'verse), and so on, but I can fake it with pretty much anything. To get things started off right, I also offer the assembled a collection of Blatant Gary Stu that is only made worse for how well-written it is.

I do rather hope that this goes over well, but if it doesn't I suppose I lose nothing that I already had.

Anti-Lustin is a PPC medication that stops the production of a hormone, Lustin, which is responsible for the stampeding/glomping/drooling over of Lust Objects.

Thanks; it's actually part of a plot to subvert peoples' expectations. I get them to associate "Valgaav" with the notably female me, then tell them to watch Slayers, where the guy I grabbed the name from is very noticeably male.

aah, yes, Lembas. Trail Mix from Tolkien's 'verse, and about as dry as his writing.

Some of the canonicals say such stupid lines that it's hilarious! I mean, an good-turned evil wizard claims he's Many-Colored when he used to be white, and all his former colleague can say is, "I like white better." ! And Legolas has this really stupid line where he thinks the hobbits grew wings. And--ok, I'll stop rambling now.

Well, we're a little odd here. It's like SpecOps in the Thursday Next books.
Not a clue. He ought to show up eventually...
Looks from the opening sequence like they're going to be working with the storyline from volume five at least... How they're going to do it without Mazenda, I'm not sure. Not to mention that the "Lina can't use magic" twist has been done to death by now. -

Sure, the "Lina can't use magic" twist has been done, but it HAS to be done, or she fires off a giant ball of "I win".

I still wonder how we'd manage it since we killed off Mazenda in NEXT, though. Though I suppose if we're just using the "Zanafar reborn" part (please pardon my lack of double letters, I always have trouble figuring out where those things go in proper names in Slayers)...

So which ones d'you like? I became mildly (okay, extremely) obsessed with Tunnel in the Sky around third or fourth grade. (I think I even created some fic in my head but abandoned it within a few hours. Such was the workings of my mind in those days. :P)

I totally forgot to give you a ypur. Here. It's a yak, except blue and spiky-horned and sausage-eating. To save time and energy shearing them, you get a scarf as well. Nice and fluffy, but tends to smother if you wear it over your face.
It was born from a spambot's typo, and as such relishes the taste of their flesh.
...that sounded kinda completely wrong. xD -

That said, pretty much most of his Lazarus Long stuff. Sure, he's blatant SI before SI was a problem, but cursed be if he isn't fun to read. -
