Looks from the opening sequence like they're going to be working with the storyline from volume five at least... How they're going to do it without Mazenda, I'm not sure. Not to mention that the "Lina can't use magic" twist has been done to death by now.
I figured, after being introduced to a member, "why the crap not?" and posted. I'm mainly into old stuff; Nuku Nuku, the old Slayers stuff (haven't seen Revolution yet), Heinlein's writings (good luck finding 'fic in THAT 'verse), and so on, but I can fake it with pretty much anything. To get things started off right, I also offer the assembled a collection of Blatant Gary Stu that is only made worse for how well-written it is.

Thanks; it's actually part of a plot to subvert peoples' expectations. I get them to associate "Valgaav" with the notably female me, then tell them to watch Slayers, where the guy I grabbed the name from is very noticeably male.

Sure, the "Lina can't use magic" twist has been done, but it HAS to be done, or she fires off a giant ball of "I win".
I still wonder how we'd manage it since we killed off Mazenda in NEXT, though. Though I suppose if we're just using the "Zanafar reborn" part (please pardon my lack of double letters, I always have trouble figuring out where those things go in proper names in Slayers)...
