Thou shalt make thyself legible. Spell correctly and use good grammar to the best of your ability — remember, the PPC is a force for good writing, and that includes SPaG. Wherever you are in the PPC community, spell, punctuate and grammatise to the very highest standard. Occasional honest mistakes will be forgiven, of course — but everything else aside, it’ll be hard for everyone to understand you and respond to you if you go, "OMG! I cant belive taht newst movie is out! Its so gr8!"

You DID read the whole Constitution when you were reading "all the stuff you needed to," right? {; )

But anyway, welcome! I'm not usually a greeter, but, uh... *looks around room* Ah! Here is some chocolate-drizzled candied ginger. It is delicious, and the chocolate dulls the burn somewhat, but I still recommend nibbling rather than sticking a whole chunk in your mouth.

As a welcome gift, I hereby give you a Fluffy Velociraptor. They are friendly little critters, about the size of a Golden Retriever from nose to tail, and covered in long and (insanely) fluffy fur. This one is named Gonzo, and he is green. I would have liked to give you an Elemental Time Squirrel as well, but the time lock is broken on their cage, and I need to borrow go borrow a TARDIS again to track them all down.

Basically, our rationale is this: we're a community which supports, focuses on, was founded on the ideal of good writing, and that includes proper SPaG, therefore, we should demonstrate our values ourselves so that we don't become hypocrites.

Also, some of us get all twitchy.
