I'd agree with Hieronymus Graubart; it really depends on what you're looking to get out of it. I love the background information on all the characters and the personality quiz type stuff (they have a wand one as well). On the other hand, I'm not interested in the various mini-games or social aspects. Plus, my laptop can't really handle the graphics. It's something I check every few months or so when I've got a lot of spare time.

If you're just interested in the background/meta stuff you might be able to find the information elsewhere online; I know I got the wand information off Tumblr before I actually made a Pottermore account, and a lot of it's on the HP wiki. Of course, it's also theoretically possible to go around and read the chapters with new information, but I have a bad case of 100% Completion Syndrome that makes it hard to leave the rest of them unchecked.
