See, I was going for ADVENT (xyzzy), so you've out-nerded me here...
Twistey, Leaf is referencing the Pentium F00F Bug, aka F00FC7C8, akalock cmpxchg8b eax, aka the Pentium Hang Bug. It's famous bug in the P5 architecture that allows any program on the system to halt the CPU, causing the system to hang until it's restarted.
