An excellent show of Ix and Charlotte's relationship! I especially enjoyed them making fun of Isuebella together.

They should make the book into an animated movie and show Disney how they should really do it. Not that the more recent Disney movies were awful or anything, but I don't get why people enjoy Frozen so much.

As some of you might already know, I identify as genderfluid (primarily agender). I've finally decided to medically transition and I need money.
No, I'm not asking you to donate. That's just... no. ^^;
But if you could take just a few minutes of your time to share my GoFundMe page with friends on Facebook or Tweet it or whatever, it would be a huge help and greatly appreciated. The more people who see it, the better.

Yeah, it was a bit sudden to have Lapis and company switch out right as Sarah's team went in DURING Malachite's entry. Then again, of course, it could be possible that the former group warned the latter offscreen, since Lapis and co. witnessed Malachite first.
And yeah, like I said, Lapis' story will continue in due course. She does, after all, have a few new attributes to have to deal with.

Early vote-by-mail really is the way to go. It took me almost an entire off day to look up all the candidates and get the voting done, but doing the research is critical.

Early voting is awesome.
I would add to World-Jumper's words: your vote might not count if you do vote, but it definitely won't count if you don't. And the fewer people there are who vote, the fewer people there are whose votes count, and that is bad. So go do it, and drag your reluctant friends and family with you.

P.S. By the same logic, please recycle, switch to more energy-efficient lightbulbs, turn out lights when you leave the room, save water, etc. The more people who do these things, the bigger the difference that will be made.

Drifting away from maps: NaNo cover. by

I finally managed to pin down a summary for Gravity's Embrace (which is up to nearly 15K words; you can read the most recent section plus links to the rest here). And since I had, I felt this was also a good time to knock together a front cover. (Apparently it increases your chances of finishing by 60%! Who knew?)
So I did. It's a scene (slightly modified) from the most recent sections, and it's in black and white because colouring-in is hard. But I still quite like it.
(Map ideas are still welcome!)

GO VOTE

OUT
AND
VOTE.
I can not stress this enough. Today is not just about the White House's looming vacancy and who will pick the Oval Office drapes. It is about local state congress. It is about balot measures. About justices. Sherifs. Even more. So, even if you think both canidates are a little tough to swallow, or your state is a hard red/blue and there's no point, please still vote. This is your patriotic duty.
Now, go out there, and make us proud.

Enchanted Forest Chronicles anyone? by

Anyone read the Enchanted Forest Chronicles? I came across a badfic for it and it is pretty bad. Nonsensical, Mary Sue, randomly killing of a main character, calling that main character by a stupid nickname, and forcing the King of Dragons to put up with her angst.

Most of the work by the author is similarly awful. Is there someone who can kill it?

Skyrim Vampires (spoilers for Dawnguard ahead) by

Vampirism in TES is a result of a magical disease — Sanguinare Vampiris — or, in rare cases, rape by Molag Bal. There two ways to cure vampirism in Skyrim:
1) Turning into a werewolf purges your body of the disease (Skyrim werewolves are immune to disease); however, that has its own problems, such as the Daedric Prince Hircine claiming your soul after death.
2) There is a wizard named Falion that knows a ritual to purge vampirism. However, you need a filled Black Soul Gem for it — ie, you need to murder a sentient being; their soul is used as sacrifice to the Daedra so that they will cure your vampirism. This ritual can also cleanse the "pure" form of vampirism conferred by Molag Bal.
There's no reason why either of those won't work for someone that isn't the Dovahkiin, but each of those has its own downsides.

Well, you mentioned TES, which I think does have a cure for vampirism. I know the Dragonborn can become one in a Skyrim expansion, and I'm pretty sure you can cure yourself, too. Whether it would work on an outsider, though, who knows?
The Buffyverse doesn't have a cure, but I wonder, do Twipires have souls, or not? I seem to recall Edward angsting about being a soulless monster, but since he never particularly acts like one, it's hard to tell if he's speaking the truth or not. But, I bring it up because the idea of Lottie going on a Buffy-style quest to get her soul back struck me as interesting. It wouldn't make her not a vampire anymore, but still, maybe it's something she would want anyway? Might help to clear up that confusion about obsession vs. love, which was a bit of a thing in the show.
And if you haven't seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it's worth a binge. Angel, too, if you've got time, though it doesn't quite reach Buffy's average level of quality. Contains an awesome musical episode, an apparent Sue-insert character, and an in-universe Gary Stu! All this plus ten thousande Elephantes!

I prefer Six, actually. Or just generally the Classic Who Doctors. The New Who seems to be losing something in comparison to the Classic, even if they have higher production quality and shinier special affects.
