Welcome, fans of the Protectors of the Plot Continuum and supporters of the Canon Protection Initiative! If you've got a story to plug, an opinion to share, or a discussion you want to join in, this is the place!
If you're looking for PPC stories to read, why not start with The Original Series – the missions of the famous assassins Jay and Acacia, the very first stories in PPC history. Once you've finished them, check out the list of Killed Badfic to find a mission you like the look of, or The Complete List of PPC Fiction to look up specific agents or departments.
Before you join the fun, there are some important links you should know about. Being familiar with these will save you a lot of hassle!
This list is also available as a Atom/RSS feed

I love pie! And blueberries. Two great things that go great together.
Yes, that is how the blessing goes, and yes that’s a dangerous amount of lychees :P
My students are learning about Lucia (and other different holiday traditions), so I thought it’d be fun to illustrate something that isn’t just the usual holiday stuff. I’m glad it’s accurate!
Was just looking at her Wiki page and went “hold on” — her Shireboo must have been showing too hard if I assumed she was in DOOCH hahah.
I’m glad you like the designs!! If you do more with Team Isengard or Pâquerette let me know :)
This is a rewrite of my first permission request. I have tried to do my best to fix all the SPaG mistakes and other problems which Neshomeh and Novastorme found in the first one. -Claire
I admire this group's work, but the thought of elves watching modern superhero movies crack me up 🤣
I believe this is the first time any of these characters other than Kaitlyn have been illustrated (plus maybe Alice), so this is really cool! I assume Takua gave Jareth the wig and told him it was a festive tradition. It's been six years since he first wore it, and he's far too proud to admit she tricked him.
I adore Pâquerette, who as far as I recall was just a throwaway name for a New Cal Hobbit. Now she's a proper character! Hild looks properly fun too; clearly I'm going to have to do more with Team Isengard in the future.
(Kaitlyn wishes she was DOOCH. She's Floaters/DCPS, as caseworker for Merry and Pippin, and has far too much of a work ethic to actually join the Hobbit Fan Club Department.)

Language warning but uh, yeah.

For those interested in the boring details on how Strike Dove is organized now.
I like your drawings. Now I think I will have to try drawing my agents. Have a homemade blueberry pie!
Is from the speedrun on console of The Hobbit at Summer GDQ 2019. It occurs during the Barrels Out Of Bond level, and someone on the commentator panel points something out as the level ends:
"I'd like to mention that it took Peter Jackson three and a half hours to reach the point we've got to in eleven minutes."
Thought that might tickle y'all. =]
...It occurs to me that I never watched LotR.
I did read it. I was rather too young to entirely Get It at the time though.
Can't seem to get a relevant meme I made to embed, so here.
Happy anniversary to a fantastic trilogy that still holds up twenty years later.
I feel it in the water.
I feel it in the earth.
I smell it in the air.
Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.
It began with the forging of the Great Rings. Three were given to the Elves, immortal, wisest, fairest of all beings. Seven to the Dwarf Lords, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine... nine rings were gifted to the race of Men who, above all else, desire power.
Within these rings was bound the strength and will to govern each race...
... but they were all of them deceived.
Twenty years ago today, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring hit cinemas, and the world was indeed changed. For the first time, we could truly step into the Shire, Rivendell, the long dark of Moria. Our ears rang with the soundtrack, many pieces of which we can still hum to this day. Teenagers in their hordes fell for Frodo's eyes, Aragorn's ruggedness, Legolas'... Orliness, I dunno. And of course, a certain Jay and Acacia watched, and read the fanfic that came after, and conceived of a story that for this little community, created the world of the PPC.
I amar prestar aen. The world is changed.
Twenty years. Wow.

The 19th is not only the 20th anniversary of the FotR movie release, but also the start of Hobbit Yuletide! Naturally, Agent Kaitlyn of the Department of Floaters/Department of Character Protective Services wants to commemorate the occasion.
L to R: Alice the Mearas, Pâquerette Sacquet, agent!hS, Kaitlyn, Hild the Dunlending, Jareth the Uruk-hai (yes. I had to), Hypatia. Most of these are hS’s agents haha
(Edited to reflect Kaitlyn’s actual departments. Whoops ;P)
And a very accurate Lucia!
(Yes, I am still around, I have just been on holiday for the past week so I couldn't comment until now!)
May you receive as many lychees as you could wish (is that how the blessing goes?).
