*grabs the little Nanoha Takamichi*
Since it's the first Nanohaverse mini, i think I should decide what it is.
Maybe a Mini-Unison device, so it keeps an human shape.

Really? I guess I should have looked it up - never occured to me that it might itself be a legitimate Sindarin word. That gives me a new joke now, though, so that's good. Thanks for telling me :)
Ah, OK. I'm not sure how or if I should address that in a mission, especially as my agents'll be be newbies and won't remember the Crashing Down, Macrovirus or 2008 Invasion crises. In fact, they may only have heard about the factories by rumour during their basic training. I was planning to just have them comment on the note saying she was a Factory Sue, wonder if they should worry about that and come to the conclusion that if so the mission brief would say more about it, even if just 'exercise caution' or something. After that, I wasn't planning to mention it again.
Should I leave that fic for someone who knows more about Factory Sues and find another one? I don't want to screw up a long-standing part of PPC canon.

I don't know if I'm a bit late or not, but here's a good list:
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FanficRecs/DoctorWho
Also, I highly second (third?) the reccommendation for "The Ten Doctors", an excellent webcomic with loads and loads of characters from all across the continuity.
It's a bit long, and sort of slow at times, but on the while, it's really, really good.

Have a set of polyhedral random-number generators. Very useful when stuck somewhere with a group of people.
So, you do not know much about the Lord of the Rings, no big deal. What fandoms do you know more about? Which are your favorites. Inquiring minds want to know.

Elves, though. And just about anything else.
Here's a box of the complete works of Tolkien. You have a lot of catching up to do.
Actually, LOTR is far from the only thing we're interested in. If you like any book that's fanficced, you should be at home here.

Look Alikes seem like bad copies, with fake glasses and wrong clothes, and bad wigs, etc.
It's rated ARGH for bad fanfiction.

Elloth means flower, which is how I came to the conclusion that Rainy Sue was from a Factory.

Question about mini-balrogs by

Hijacking the thread for a moment:
Does a misspelled Sindarin word create a mini-Balrog, or is it only proper nouns and names of races? There weren't any examples in the new list, though there were some on Miss Cam's list, so I wanted to check.
(the word in question is elloth for ellon, or possibly elleth for the purposes of hilarity, though the author does seem to know how to spell that one.)

Just posting here and expressing interest is generally enough to join. :D I hereby present you with a welcome gift of a bag of pebbles and a Random Shiny Object.
You don't need to know much about Lord of the Rings to join; just having respect for good writing is favourite, though.
Welcome to the Board!

Stop double-posting. It's considered rude, as you keep bumping other people's threads off the page. This one is just annoying, because it's the exact same as your first post.
But on the other hand, welcome to the board. We're all a bit mad here, so we don't mind a bit of insanity and we definitely like people who've read the original LotR series. (By the way, who do you ship in there, if at all? And are you a Legolas fangirl?)
So, reiterating another line: welcome to the board, and have a random heavy object. You can throw it at someone or use it as a paperweight!

I was wondering if I could ask a question. I am interested in joining the board. I don't know much about Lord of the Rings, but I can never hate a genius piece of literature.
I hope that fact won't be a problem.~ I heard from my brother that there are a lot of amazing people here. I can't wait to meet you all. hahaha...
P.S. Sorry for double posting. xD I wanted to put the subject.

Whoops! Forgot to include that.
"The Ten Doctors"
It was history’s greatest and most famous party.
Generally, if there's explicit stuff, they'll label it as such so people can avoid it if they want to.

I can't remember how to create a link for the life of me...
The author JJPOR generally does pretty good Dr. Who fanfiction, they write on the A Teaspoon and an Open Mind Dr. Who fanfiction archive. Her profile's here at http://www.whofic.com/viewuser.php?uid=7103 . The fic that I particularly like is a oneshot, "The Ten Doctors" here at http://www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=27266 but her other fics are quite good too. Ummm, now that I think of it, "The Ten Doctors" does have small hints of slashyness, but it's mostly implications of what happens.
I can't really remember any other ones at the moment, but I'll try to dig around my booksmarks to see if I can find any other ones.
