*bows* I do like knowing my narrative jokes make people laugh. Makes me happy. :D
It was good actually meeting Teek's family, to the extent that the ending is where it is because that sounded like a good last line and I knew I could keep up their interactions for pages on end otherwise. :P
She's gonna have a bit of trouble going back to HQ after this, but at least she can have other visits now.
Glad you liked it. ^^

That was a good read. I'm glad Teek's reunion is going well.
I'm confused, though: I was always under the impression that college and university had the same definition both sides of the Atlantic, just different colloquialisms when referring to studies of that level. What I mean is, a university is a collection of colleges by definition, but colleges can exist independently. Whether the college you attend is part of a university or not, it's still post-regular-school studies in pursuit of a degree. In the U.S., we call it "college" whether your college is part of a university or not; in the U.K., they call it "university" or "uni" no matter what. Is that wrong? Did I make sense explaining it? O.o

My apologies for missing them out.
I don't generally write full descriptions, so here's what I've got:
Agent Damien Ash
Joined partially out of boredom, partially to do something good.
Low boredom threshold,
Stays out of LotR and HP for the most part as “40K and Lovecraft take up most of [his] sanity and [he] can’t deal with much more.” This (of course) won’t stop the Flowers pulling out the occasional mission in these fandoms, just to annoy him.
Owns a copy of The Book of Eibon (a lovecraftian spell book) which he uses for very serious emergencies.
Slightly "damaged" by using the above book to pack his bag.
Agent Jack Churchill
Vet Agent, based on the commando of the same name
Lost his last partner (Andrea) to a Poke/digi-mon Trainer Sue/Stu (Might've been drunk at the time and can't quite remember)
Has the mental mettle to handle small amounts of Lovecraft without lasting damage
Drinks heavily and is still recovering from Andrea’s death.
Starts in All-Purpose and is told to take Damien on his next mission (Sick)
A patient man, but when angered will rashly. (Read: Charge in with a broadsword)

This makes seven posts today. by

This Board uses an old system. The messages do not refresh to the top when they receive a new post. People consider it rather impolite to post more than one new thread every couple of days. You've got seven so far, with two new ones after people very politely pointed out that you should stop posting so many so quickly.
So anyway, nice to meet you. Glad you are here, but please stop making new threads for a couple of days. If you want to make more posts add them as a reply to one of the seven you already have.
(Sorry if I am over stepping my non-oldbie, non-PG bounds here. I just thought more bluntness would help.)
As to Eragon, I believe the wiki explains why we don't much care for him. http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/Eragon
The intro quote on the page goes very far in explaining my problem with Eragon.
Twilight is just creepy. Since when has stalking been a legitimate element in romance?

We like to see brief descriptions of the agents in the Permission request, since they're a big part of what we're granting Permission for. In this case, they don't even appear in your writing sample, so it's important to include the bios here.

That author gets away with it for two reasons: One, it's funny, and two, it occupies a clear space in the text that doesn't distract from the story.
The problem with most in-text author's notes is that they come out of nowhere and distract from the story, often without saying anything useful. The general rule is, if it's really important, it should be included in the narrative. If it isn't really important, it can wait until the end of the chapter.
~Neshomeh, who has never used author's notes except at the beginning of the story on ff.net or at the end in other places.

I just want to advise you of a couple of things:
1. Kaitlyn is the exact name of a Boarder who may or may not still come around sometimes. Be careful to be clear who you're talking about. {= )
2. Speech tags need to match who's speaking. You can't have someone's speech coupled with someone else's actions; it's very confusing. For example, these are mixed up:"Relax. You still couldn't see that much, and besides, she was hot." Kaitlyn groaned.
"Great. I ended up with a sick little pervert in a lady's body." Kimmie closed her eyes and took a deep drink.
"I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't tell her to wear that non-outfit. And if she objected to people looking at her, she wouldn't wander around dressed like that and waving at everyone in sight." Kaitlyn harrumphed and turned to glare at the console, which uncharacteristically decided not to break the (exceedingly awkward) silence; instead that duty fell to Kimmie.
You should have it like this:"Relax. You still couldn't see that much, and besides, she was hot."
Kaitlyn groaned. "Great. I ended up with a sick little pervert in a lady's body."
Kimmie closed her eyes and took a deep drink. "I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't tell her to wear that non-outfit. And if she objected to people looking at her, she wouldn't wander around dressed like that and waving at everyone in sight."

Make sense? {= )

Good to hear you got it back :)
I like the agents, and you're opening paragraph is great for capturing the stangeness of PPC life.
Finally, good luck with the mission, it doesn't seem like you've got much to work with there, so it might be tricky.

You know something about Dawn and Dusk? by
on 2010-06-24 21:36:00 UTC

As far as I'm aware, their writer(s) never got Permission, so they're not officially part of the PPC. Also, there are some problems with them, which are discussed here and here. If you know who made them, you should direct them here so we can sort it out.
And, again, don't post so many new threads at once. It knocks other threads off the first page, so it's kinda rude.

I read an article on the Wikia that said Eragon isn't very well-liked. That's too bad. Or Twilight. I don't care. Or Hannah Montana... I applaud, my ears have bled over her far too often for me to give a piece of Warg flesh about her.
But back to the point, why is this so?
