It should! by

I'm currently thinking it'll be more like 30-45 minutes, if I'm the only reader, though I suppose it could stretch a little if there's a lot of discussion. This could potentially become a recurring thing if people want to keep going with the book, though.
(Realistically speaking, 45 minutes is more likely than 30 if there's any discussion at all, but I guess we'll see!)
At any rate, we should definitely be done before 11:10.

Honestly, I doubt this'll reach two hours. by

We're probably looking at 30-45 minutes, especially since it currently looks like I'll be the only reader. I'd be absolutely shocked if my voice held up for two hours of reading, even with a couple pauses to discuss.
My current thought is to cap it around 30-45 minutes, and possibly make this a recurring thing if people want to keep going with whichever book we start. So we'd be ending by about 10:30-10:45 PM your time. Is that better?

An April fools’ thread by

Yes, I know that it’s technically not the first of April yet, but still I have actually wanted to make this thread. It is to prevent the board from being cluttered with April fools jokes by everyone else( even though they can simply save space by replying to someone’s April Fools’ thread).
Do I happen to know how April Fools work on the board? No, so I guess that I am a fool.

And yes, that is too late. If I assume that this can last up to 2 hours, I would be sleeping by midnight.
I guess that I have to request that you start the stream two hours earlier, such as 8 EST. Sorry for asking. I really can’t do anything about the time, so waking up earlier is really your only choice.

I'm suggesting 10 AM EST, which should be 10 PM for you. That doesn't fall during the school hours you've mentioned, but since it might be a school night--is that too late for you?
Also, really, don't worry too much. You don't control your time zone or school schedule; you won't make anyone angry over that. At most there might be mild irritation or disappointment which is directed at circumstances, not at you. Relax.

10 PM EST is, get this, 10 AM in Singapore! But the real problem is that I might have school( you did mention that the stream can take place from Sunday to Thursday), and in some countries like Singapore, Secondary Schools Start at 7 AM and ends at 2.30 PM. I’m not even allowed to use my phone, or anything other than a Chromebook in school. So I can’t even join the reading.
But if I make the reading too late, I might make someone angry that he/she has to sleep late. Besides, I could have made an error in calculating EST to GMT 8+…
Sorry for over complicating everything.

Nikki and Sergio finally cross paths, and the latter obviously ends up doing reckless things to get his girlfriend out of Bandog's claws. But things are starting to get even more out of control, as someone they both know pokes her head in from the past... or might it be yet another alternate timeline?
This chapter was the first in which Aelit, Kathleen's original author, started collaborating with me to fully bring back Sergio's extended family. From now on, Aelit will be a full-time cowriter for this project.
Many thanks to Doctorlit yet again for his beta services!
And, as usual, both Wordpress and Tumblr links are available because more choice is good.

Okay! This is good :) No clue what book we'll go for at this rate (suggestions? Hold on, I'll put a list of the books I have physically with me down below), but timing wise: based on the information I have, something like 10 am EST (that's 10 pm for you, Fuda, unless I've messed up the calculation) might work for everyone. As far as I know (feel free to correct me!) the earliest time zone involved would put that at 9 am, and the latest at 10 pm. Somariel and ChampionorChicken are the ones I don't have time zone information for; I don't need it, but if the suggested time is way too early or late for you, do speak up! Same goes for everyone else: if that's too early or too late for you, speak up. Like I said, I'm very flexible; this is just the first time I thought of that seemed like it might fall within reasonable waking hours for everyone currently interested. I can also tell you now that this is most likely to happen Sun-Thurs, apart from the end of next week; within that, I'm also fairly flexible, though that may change slightly.
Re: Zoom: it is possible to join with audio-only! Might even give you the option right off? It did this time, though previously it's given me a video preview. Maybe it's to do with how the meeting is set up. I'll find out when I try out that part of it; so far, I've only joined other people's meetings, not tried to host one.
Book list:
Circle of Magic quartet, following four young mages who become family:
Sandry's Book
Tris' Book
Daja's Book
Briar's Book
Protector of the Small quartet, following Keladry of Mindelan who is determined to become the second female knight in a hundred years and, as the series title suggests, repeatedly stands up for pretty much every misfit she encounters along the way:
First Test
Page
Squire
Lady Knight
The one I'm pretty sure is here but hiding: The Circle Reforged book (currently last chronologically in the set that started with the Circle of Magic books): The Will of the Empress, when, after some years apart, Sandry, Tris, Daja, and Briar go on a trip together to visit Sandry's cousin and try to regain their closeness amidst political intrigue.
Personally, I like Squire, Lady Knight, and Will of the Empress best (as well as the Circle books, but those are more...I like them all and don't really prefer one over the others too strongly. I will say that I've heard the audiobook versions multiple times before, though, and would probably have that playing in my head a lot with Sandry's Book if I tried to read it). I'm happy to go with any of them, though, for reading purposes.

Hello again everyone! You may know me from the discord server. I was on the previous board under the same name but I panic bailed and put off getting back on here for way too long. I love playing pokemon, minecraft, terraria, undertale and a couple other stuff. I love finding badfic from obscure fandoms. Erm, I'm not sure what else to put here...
