I could be wrong, it could just be a product of the PPC, but Mary Sues showing up on Chocolate Frog cards seems to be a bad thing.

I'll take 'em back to the lab to experiment on them so I can build different laser weapons out of them, if that's alright with you.

Flashpoints are one of the reasons for this by

Aside from the first flashpoint Black Talon (can't remember Republic Version) they are very difficult to run solo. They can be but it is really hard.

You shouldn't have to worry too much about lag. by

I remember experimenting with some characters on the US servers when the server character limits were much lower, and I only had lag issues in high population areas like the space stations (although I had slight lag issues in those areas in the European servers anyway). I suspect a bigger issue may simply be time difference / availability.
Through various consolidations, all of my characters are on the Darth Malgus server. I've got one of each class to 50+, with a few extras thrown in at various levels. Only really progressed through the more recent expansions with one character - well, what was the point in running it multiple times when all the content would be virtually identical?
One thing that I'd be very much interested in, if possible, would be getting groups together to run the flashpoints (and, dare I dream, the Operations?). I think I've seen pretty much all the content you can see as a solo player, but I've barely seen anything intended for groups. Which still seems a bit odd for an MMO.
So yeah, I usually only return once or twice a year to run the new content with my main, but I'd be up for playing regularly again if I could do something fresh. Playing the old content with a new group would be different and interesting enough, but seeing the content I've been missing out on so far would be best.

I've never read the Horus Heresy series, although I have heard good things about it. I have read a bunch of the other Black Library stuff, and the one I enjoyed the most was the Eisenhorn trilogy. It was interesting to watch the character develop as the books went on, as he became more and more willing to take risks to get the job done.
I can't really say much more about it, because it's been so long since I last read the books - I just have a lingering impression of a well developed character and his changing priorities as he progressed through his journey.

The Extra EXP event is for everyone, or at least it has been the last 2 Christmas'. I have 3 50+ Republic Characters, 1 70+ Republic Character, 3 50+ Empire Characters, 1 70+ Empire Character and 2 (or 3) lower level characters. (Yes I have got Legendary status).
I'll list all of the names etc. once I remember them all, but they're all on Darth Malgus (IIRC, it's the English speaking European Server)
Personally I'm interested more in joint questing/playing through a storyline as part of a group with friends rather than a RPing Guild, but I'd join the latter to do the former.

I've finally re-subscribed to SWTOR for the first time in a long time. A while back on our Discord I had mentioned joining up with PPCers. There was some degree of interest, but it never really went anywhere.
So I figured I would post it to the Board to see what interest there is. Either in just joint questing or perhaps establishing a Roleplaying Guild initially targeted for PPC players.
Now is a good time as any to join/rejoin as there is an extra EXP event going on (at least for Subs, I cannot confirm if it is for F2P). For those interested my Characters with Levels are on the Star Forge server.
If your interested just let me know here your Character's Name, Faction, and Server. I have a 50+ Republic Character, a 50+ Empire Character, and a 70+ Empire Character, as well as multiple lower level characters depending on how you want to participate.

No, really. Jelly Belly makes chocolate frogs as well as a number of other Harry Potter-inspired candies. I got myself a frog while I was on vacation, and the collectible card I got was Slytherin.
I hope the one I put in my niece's stocking has somebody nicer. >.>

In Warhammer 40,000, the Imperial Guard is the main human military force, known for its incredibly low survival rates, think stormtroopers in Star Wars. The shipping container is a dumb pun about shipping, but it's probably full of laser weapons and flak armor.
Saint Celestine is a key Imperial religious figure, who arrives to save Imperial forces when defeat seems certain, usually by soloing some huge monster.
Malakim Phoros is the Chapter Master of the chapter of Space Marines known as the Lamenters. They're super cursed, and tend to be the victims of implausible disasters, but they carry on their solemn duty regardless, hoping that they might save others even if they cannot save themselves.
P.S. The song you linked is pretty good.

Why am I entering? Come now! Surely one of HQ's premier gamers needs no particular reason to enter a game?
. . .
Aaaaaah, well. Perhaps I am . . . curious? To see how a carbon copy of me would end up faring against others in Headquarters. I am, after all, a wizard in-name only, thanks to my original fanfiction's wording. I . . .
. . .
I look forward to seeing how a wizard with no magic can manage to survive.

"Above the Northern Lights" by Mannheim Steamroller (the band famous for making Christmas covers with a bunch of synths).
It's completely original by them, but you probably won't have heard it unless you have Sirius XM and you tune to the Mannheim Steamroller channel that got set up for the holidays. I admit, that's how I first heard it.
I don't know why, but this song just gives me the chills. It just has beautiful imagery in the lyrics and the melody is so peaceful. I'm not sure how to make a filk of this, but I bet somebody could. In the meantime, enjoy the song.

Christmas Prompts! by

There's still time, I haven't forgotten (promise).
Prompt 1: One of your characters receives a Christmas (or other related festival) gift.
Prompt 2: Something happens to make the Christmas (or other related festival's) dinner go drastically wrong.
Including other related festival in both of these Prompts to cover both other religions that have a celebration close to Christmastime that isn't Christmas AND for characters from worlds/canons where Christmas doesn't exist but something like it may do.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS (Eve at the moment)
