Pink spears. (Or rather, 'indil in fore, pink crossed spears'.)
It also resembles a compass rose, which ties into Twyla's interests beyond Plort.

AKA the ones you can actually search in. ^_~
As for stats, just a couple for you. First off, posts per year, 2008-2018:
2008 and 2018 are projected out to a full year from the partial data we have; all other years are 'everything in the archive'.
And here's the three most prolific people on the Board(s) for each year:
2008 -- Sedri (513) -- Lily Winterwood (309) -- The Trojanhorse (295)
2009 -- Sedri (653) -- Pads (611) -- Maudlin Hart (540)
2010 -- Sedri (662) -- Neshomeh (614) -- Miah (519)
2011 -- Neshomeh (574) -- Aster Corbett (303) -- doctorlit (301)
2012 -- KittyNoodles (839) -- Huinesoron (628) -- SpecstacularSC (598)
2013 -- DawnFire (877) -- Huinesoron (853) -- Outhra (774)
2014 -- Huinesoron (1340) -- Iximaz (730) -- Neshomeh (650)
2015 -- Iximaz (2471) -- Huinesoron (1660) -- Scapegrace (1144)
2016 -- Iximaz (1481) -- Huinesoron (1451) -- Hardric (960)
2017 -- Huinesoron (1220) -- Iximaz (650) -- Neshomeh (518)
2018 -- Huinesoron (457) -- Thoth (412) -- Neshomeh (359)
(All of these should probably be a bit higher; they're based on the name as pulled from the Board, which means that all those random spaces and one-use names you keep putting in aren't included in the aggregate.)
And just for fun: a plot of where I've come on the ranked list of posts per name each year.
Had a bit of a dry spell back in 2010, but it's nothing to worry about. :D
If you want to check out your own rankings, the full name-lists are here. Have fun!

It's either a reuse of symbolism interpreted otherwise, or borrwing an established symbol that fits. Both makes sense, either work.

The Arms of Snowblaze. by

Did you know a heraldic snow leopard actually appears in the coat of arms of a small district of Russia?
Celeste, a snow leopard proper, in chief three mullets.
A 'star' in heraldry has six points; apparently the proper term for the five pointed version is 'mullet'.

... how colourful these things can get when you eschew the temptation to overuse Sable.
Per chevron, azure and gules, a chevron Or, in chief a lambda Or and an ibis argent, in base a hash argent.
I think. The two upper charges should fall into the right places that way. An alternate version, drawing on the blazon of the Arms of Transylvania, would be:
Per chevron, azure and gules, a chevron Or addextré of a lambda Or and senestré of an ibis argent, in the base a hash argent.
Note that the hash has previously appeared on the flag of Iric, representing the walls of La Wunj; a related symbol, the La Wunj Gate, appears on the flag of the Diskord.

Eeeeee! hS actually published.
Lessee... I liked this. A lot. It's not my normal fare for PPC missions, and ordinarily I'd say it had a lot of failings (mainly centering on a lack of description of and connection to the actual fic). But those "failings" work here, because they seem to be deliberate decisions made in the name of focus and brevity, and the story is structured appropriately. The result feels unique and (and this is the important part) fun. It really gave me that sorta classic feel—and as a fan of the classic missions, I mean that in the best way possible.
Oh, and spinoff idea.

Board archives updated by

The Board archives (whose most user-friendly copy is at the altchives) are now current through 12:13 PM Board time this afternoon.
The live Board currently goes back through late March of 2016.
I might come back with stats if I have a moment to compute them (or hS posts his).

but both Hermione and Dumbledore feel rather like themselves (especially since this is third-year Hermione, who isn't as anti-rule breaking as first-year Hermione was).

Yeah, you were right to keep the flaunches. Wolf 3D is still a big part of me, albeit in a new way. When I got into Lichtspeer, I noticed that it's basically the opposite of Wolfenstein 3D, and I've explored that idea in a few ways with a concept I call "the holy duality." I find it rather interesting. Anyway, thanks again for the coat of arms!

It's nice to see more of Tiger and get a better insight into his character. I do hope he learns to plan better in the future.
Also, I'd say that the ending feels a bit more like the location of a scene break - I'd expect there to be another bit showing the effects of the attack attempt or something after it.
