I used to lurk myself. Many of us started out as lurker. But we are glad that we made the leap to full Boarders and welcome you into the ranks as well.
How about some biscuits to go with the tea?
Hi. I'm... relatively new here. By that, I mean: I've been lurking here for ages, but never really posted anything, so no one knows me.
I have some baked/fried sunflower seeds, if someone is interested. *Offers the paper bag*
I think they are fried, but I always get confused when it comes to cooking terms in English.

As for tostadas, I don't even know what that is. Checked the wikipedia, but nothing there is what I was offering. I literally meant fried "sunflower seeds", the kind that would make SO pissed.
As for where I'm from - Serbia. It's "same thing" for most other ex-Yugoslavian countries, though some people wouldn't agree with me.

And cooking terms can get confusing. Normally "fried" is with some sort of fat in a pan on the stovetop, and "baked" is in the oven with no fat, but all those restaurants and family recipes for "oven-fried chicken" disagree.
Maybe it's oven-fry because they DO use fat in the oven?

Good to see you, second newbie of the day. You have just helped to demonstrate what I like to call the "Newbie Pack Phenomenon". For some reason, newbies tend to come in twos and threes, even if they've never met or heard of the other newbie before. It's a rather curious trend, but it's been around for a while.
But, that doesn't mean I'm going to give you any less of a welcome! Although, you might want to hide those sunflower seeds; the Sunflower Official probably wouldn't take to kindly to them.

Actually, I think the reason for it is probably that once somebody braves up to introducing themselves, other lurkers notice and it gives them more confidence to do the same, because they're not the only one.
Hiding the seeds would be quite a feat, though... I think I have a minor addiction to them.

Welcome to the PPC! You can leave your sanity at the door, as you won't be needing it here. You should also read the Constitution (link on top of the Board). The Original Series and the Wiki are recommended reads too, and you're more than welcome to drop by in the IRC channel (link on top of the Board, too) and say hi.
Last but not least, a gift, that is a cup of tea. Just don't let the leaves eat you.
I'll pack the sanity in the box, before leaving it, though. Simply because I like packing things into boxes.
Constitution and The Original Series have already been read and wiki is being consulted whenever I feel like it.
