Agents keep their abilities when they're outside HQ, they just can't go running around showing they're blatantly not of World One.
If you tell Ix she's a dog person you'll make her cry. :P 'Fwai' is the shortened version of her actual name, Faolan—which means little wolf in Irish. (It was brought up in their last mission. Yes, she hates it.)

Ix and Charlotte go on a date, but of course things don't go smoothly for them at all.
Slice of life, angst, hurt/comfort, fluff.
I really enjoyed the tone of this. Just calm and peaceful and simple, and really no PPC weirdness or supernatural whatever drawing focus from the characters. I also like the shift from the beginning, when Ix is unsure and Charlotte is supportive, and the reversal after Charlotte gets sunburned, where she becomes panicky and needs to rely on Ix's experience to stop the hurt. It's a creative way of getting to the proposal as well, without the usual set up for that kind of scene.
One error!
Ix’s palms were slick with sweat by the time they got past the Security Dandelion guarding the exist, and when the heat of World One’s sun hit them, it only got worse.
Dandelions may guard the exist, but remember that tires don exits.
—doctorlit heavily recommends "kids" sunscreen for anyone spending time in strong sunlight. It's at least as effective as the adult stuff, but a bit less questionable-chemicals-y.
I just read this interlude, and it made me very happy.
I have some things in common with Ix. I'm a disabled person without much of a gender, and I wish I didn't have boobs and wear loose clothing. Dealing with all of this is a little bit awkward sometimes even though I don't have major dysphoria, especially since I know I'll never have the money to make any actual physical changes. (Other than cut my hair short. I currently have a buzz cut and it is soo comfy.)
It was really healing to see Charlotte and Ix being adorable together, and Charlotte having no problem with Ix's gender or lack thereof, and it generally being considered a completely normal thing to admit to not being quite the gender they thought you were when you were born.
I mean, I know it's the PPC and everything, where it's normal to see sentient shades of blue and talking horses and whatnot, and being genderqueer doesn't even register as odd there. But the fact is, out of character, the PPC stories are written by real people who really have those opinions and want the world to actually be that way.
So yeah, this makes me happy.
Poor Charlotte just keeps finding out one thing after another that can hurt humans. Just wait until she finds out about overeating. :P

The opening scene is solid. It's nice to see IxWolf wake up by something other than nightmares. Also, kinda cute to see her making coffee the Muggle way; but then still has that little kid side in her. 'Yep, I'm doing all the witchy stuff!'
Lottie getting sudden sunburn was absolutely hilarious :D

I have a question, though. IxWolf conjures up a blanket. In New Cal. Is there some sort of field around the main base that stretches out and lets the otherworlders keep their otherworldliness? I understand inside the building, but far enough outside?

Anywho, this was lovely and I'm doing a happy jig right now that my fluffy OTP ship is sailing mighty fine. IxWolf is adorable and glorious, and deserved all the kisses and love she can get! So says I! Great job, Ixi.
