Okay, let me just... um...
Um.
Repeat after me. Out loud, if you can.
There are no PPC Higher Ups.
None! We are a community of equals. Authority exists only where utterly impossible to avoid - in the case of Permission Givers, we really have no authority outside of giving permission. The Nameless Admin is nameless specifically to avoid giving their word weight in conversations outside of technical issues. On the IRC, the DAs' authority exists only to stop things getting out of hand, and the mods/admins/whatever-they're-called only exist to deal with trolls and Serious Problems. Sometimes, having been around a bit longer means people listen to you more (see: the Huinesoron Effect), but that's an illusion, more or less, entirely due to the level that people ...well, listen to you more. Someone who's been around for six months and done a ton of hands-on work with the Wiki has more pull concerning the Wiki than does someone who's been around for seven years and only ever touched it with a ten-foot pole.
So, you see, putting a thread on the 'Board and hoping that some authority figure will come start a Thing is a futile hope - you're only going to get crazy Bogdanovists like me to tell you the Vor system is an illusion, or people like hS to wave their arms frantically and go "I'm not in charge! Stop looking at me!"
If you think a change should be made, this is exactly(-ish) the way to go about it. Either 1) create the article yourself, and then, through the wiki page* or the 'Board, let people know about it, and ask for help and contributions and/or opinions. Or 2) ask people about what they think about creating said wiki page.
And, voila! The page is officially created. It's much better than a bureaucracy, don't you think?
(You may also have created a new secret identity for me, for which I must thank you. Next time, somebody just wave the Bogdanovist Spotlight around.)
*probably recommended, since that's where the Wiki-Involved People will definitely see it - on the 'Board, you're getting the Board side of the Triple Venn Diagram** of PPCers, on the Wiki, you're getting the Wiki side. Which is what you want, for New Article Teams.
**Three overlapping circles - the 'Board community, the IRC community, and the Wiki community. Sorta. But I think they make a bit more sense in an extra dimension, since you get people who are Wiki-and-IRC but don't check the 'Board, and people who're 'Board-and-IRC but don't touch the Wiki, and people who're Wiki-and-Board but never bother with the IRC. And people who do all three, and people who do just one, though that's discouraged (especially for the Wiki).
