Hieronymus – deliberately misspelled Anonymous, because I wouldn’t tell my real name on the internet.

Hieronymus – a.k.a. Saint Jerome, because I’m trying to be a decent person, although I will never reach saintly levels. Also, I may have misinterpreted "ascetic" as "hermit", and I’m not a sociable person.

Hieronymus – a.k.a Jerome of Prague (burned for heresy at the Council of Constance), because my critical mind doesn’t take anything for granted.

(Wikipedia has many more of these guys, but when I checked with an old printed lexicon whether the name would be suitable, I found only these two, and I felt that combined they fit may personality quite well.)

Graubart – just look at me (it translates to "grey beard"). I won’t hide the facts that I’m old, male and German.

Also, I like to share my initials with Hermione Granger.
