Dear Agents of the PPC,
I have... organized... a Calvinball tournament. We have permission from The Flowers. That is to say, they haven't told us not to.
If you wish to participate, please arrive at Hall 13.274Acos(θ).
Sincerely,
Tom Andrews, Agent, Floaters.

They all stood in a large room. On the far left, there was an assortment of masks, and a seemingly random collection of sports supplies, implements of nonlethal injury, and other, similar, items. An astounding collection of boxes, arrows, and circles have been drawn across the floor.
"All right! Agents! We've all prepared for this day. DoSAT and Medical are on standby. Get your masks ready. You know the rules. You know the stakes. You know what is about to happen."
"There will be two teams. Which team you are on will be self-selected. Names for the teams will also be self-selected. Teams will be formed after the game has started, so work quickly. Oh. And if any of the flowers ask what we're doing, make a dash for it."
"Without further ado, let the HQ Calvinball tournament... BEGIN!"
((Yes, that's right. We've got a Calvinball tournament now. You know the rules. Or you don't. It's probably not incredibly relevant. If you REALLY want to know, and you don't already, just look it up. Join in, and contribute to the madness, please.))

NEWBIE!
Hey Newbie!
Fandoms? Tastes in fic? Tastes in videogames? Tastes in tabletop games? Hobbies?
Okay, that's probably too many questions :-P. Take a chainsword, a mug of Klatchian coffee, and a flagon of mjød. If you drink both at once, you might just live. :-)

Ix bit her lip. "It's just, you don't look so... good. Right now, at this moment. I'm sure you look quite nice normally. Not that I'd think you look nice—I mean—I do—I mean—I have a girlfriend," she mumbled, face bright red.

Hello, and welcome aBoard! Here's a plate of fresh SPaGhetti for you.
If you haven't yet read them, may I point you towards the Original Series and the Constitution? They're pretty much the only required reading around these parts.
How'd you find us, by the by?

She could never help being irritated when prevented from doing her work.
"It's all right for now," Derik said. "But thank you... brother." He nodded and laid his free hand on Thoth's wolf-painted pauldron. In addition to being a companionable gesture, it helped him stay upright, since Gall hadn't seen fit to give up the chair and he didn't want to start a fresh fight about it.
(( Yup, visible if you're looking. Was also banking on Space Marine senses to help engineer this really delightful moment. ˆ_ˆ Assuming in turn that Thoth is siting on the floor, based on this post.))

"You need not leave if you do not wish to do so, brother." Thoth noticed Derik's injury. "Your hand has been injured. Do you wish me to attempt to repair it?"
Tom stared at his partner as if the marine had sprouted an extra head.
((I am assuming that Derik's hand is visible...))

"I dunno if it was scary," Gall said, looking at Ix closely. "The weird shadow thing, though... is it a Phantom thing? Does it come with the mask and stuff? Cuz—oh, hey, One-eye. Totally not talking about your weirdness behind your back!" She grinned.
Derik rolled his eye(s).
[Ix] swallowed when the others returned to the group. "I'm sorry," she said again to Derik.
"No, I'm the one who must apologize. To everyone," he answered, looking around to include Thoth and Tom (and probably even Gall). "My behavior has been atrocious, and I can only hope for your forbearance. ... If you'll permit me, I would like to deliver the part of the tale that I promised, and then I'll go."
(( ... Doesn't Ix + Gall = Thoth's worst nightmare? Okay, maybe not worst, but... I thought it was amusing. ))

Hey Quincy! Since I don't frequent the Discord server, I don't know as much about you as I would if I did. So anyway! What brought you here? What are your fandoms and/or other interests? Do you have any OCs or potential agents? I'm interested to know!
As for me, I'm Twistey, a chaotic goodish lightly-used-bie who has too many ideas for stories and whatnot and not enough time to do all of them. I am very easily dragged into fandoms, but currently my biggest one would have to be Wolfenstein 3D (and to some extent, anything else iD Software did in the 90s.) I tend to be more skilled in the character aspects of stories rather than the plots themselves, but I hope to get better.
Anyway, for your newbie gift, here is a random pile of blueish metal, straight from Castle Wolfenstein. Do whatever you wish with it!

They get placed in whichever direction you're facing (I don't know about the others, but Light Gray has the partial circle appear in the top-right corner from the player's perspective, I think.)
Is there a spawn egg for the Illusioner? I don't think I saw one, but I'm wondering what exactly it does.
Interesting little detail, by the way: The achievement for killing the Ender Dragon is now called "Free the End," which means the player now has a reason to kill it, instead of just "because I can." (I like dragons :3) I have yet to figure out, however, why the player is supposed to summon the Wither if it's just going to cause so much damage and you're just going to kill it anyway. Also, if the dragon is evil and its egg is "The Next Generation", why do you want the egg? Bit weird but it's progress.

She helped herself to one of the celery sticks and began munching. "That's not bad," she said around a mouthful of food. "Want to get some more food and grab a table together? Feels like I've been standing up for ages."

"Now, that's Halloween, a holiday pretty much defined by candies, and henceforth sugar."
"Well, there is peanut butter," Marina said. "i don't know what sort of thing it is on this platter, but I know there is a possibility sugar is present in peanut butter. Small doses, and not always, but... Well, guess you know irony and this place work together. How much sugar would be needed to cause a sugar rush?"

Dax pouted. "Is everything in this room not safe for me to eat?" she asked as she walked over to the food table. "Like, I know all the things wrapped in foil aren't, but what about these things?" She pointed to a platter of celery smeared with peanut butter and dotted with raisins.

A shadow fell over her face, and for a moment, she actually looked rather wolfish. "The one time I snapped at someone, it... didn't end well for me."
She swallowed when the others returned to the group. "I'm sorry," she said again to Derik.
((Yes, I know, it's a cliche 'shadow of the wolf' trope I did there, but it's happened to Lupin and I'm totally cribbing here. :P))
