that, with sufficient time/effort/etc., you could insert the agents into footage of the thing you were missioning.

Same-sex-marriage in Germany! by

*sets off rainbow confetti bomb*
Today, on the last day before they go on break over summer, the German Bundestag (our lower house of parliament) voted on a bill that would legalize same-sex-marriage.
IT PASSED! Finally, after the CDU delayed the vote for 4+ years, it has passed 393-226. The bill still has to go through the Bundesrat, which is expected to happen, on 7th July. When I found out this morning, I actually almost cried with happiness. I still cannot actually believe this has finaly happened.

Hi everyone. I'd like to see if people would be up for playing Citation Needed, a panel game ostensibly about Wikipedia articles but mostly about tangents, diversions, puns, and general mayhem. Here's an example episode, in which the rules are contained:
'Mad' Jack Churchill and a Live Studio Audience!
If you didn't click the link, and that's fine, the rules are as follows.
The host (in this case, me) has a Wikipedia article open and the contestants can't see it. The host asks them questions about it; every question they get right is a point and a *ding!*, and particularly good answers receive the PPC's special prize of MYSTERY BLEEPRIIIIIIN (oh ~yeah~). The contestant with the most points at the end of the game is the winner, who will be in receipt of an amusing and incredibly laboured pun for a prize. No expense has been spared; we have in fact killed them all.
So, who'd like to play! Ideally, I'd love to get the sections recorded as well, and have people in the chat to listen, react, applaud, and generally make it feel more like a radio show. There's three panelists per show, but I'll be rotating the panels so everyone can get a go. =]
Sign up here, express interest, and if enough people want it then we'll set a date! =]

I can do that. I'll only be able to work on it on Sunday, as I'm dog-sitting from Sunday night to Friday morning, and won't have computer access all that time. If that's acceptable (read: if you trust me to do a good enough beta job in that time frame), then I can do it. You can either email me a Word document to edit, or give me access to leave comments on a GDoc. Email is clickable above.

I'm already aware of the general differences between missions and MSTs (missions are more actual story, MSTs are like reaction videos), but thanks for clearing that up further.
I'm pretty sure that writing a mission about fixing a fangame would be pretty easy - just remember stuff about the fangame, then write a mission about fixing the fangame (which, if the fangame has a story, would be pretty similar to one for a fanfic), and then if you want to make it a video, get some people to voice act and animate it for you! (Or live action with cosplay, if you're okay with a face reveal. Sadly, I'm not.)
Okay, about the first question, it would be somewhat similar to the fanfic missions: in the RC, console beeps, the agents go into the game, find out whatever's wrong with the game (and if there's no character they can target, they just so happen to find the developer and corner them, or do whatever departments that don't deal with characters, like DOGA, do), and then read the charge list, and then restore things to their ordinary ways. Any thoughts about that?

(Meanwhile in my brain, Inside Out style...)
Joy: Restrain The Thing before we start typing, otherwise it might take over our keyboard.
The Thing: I am not an 'it'- *gets shoved in a cage*
Joy: Now, all of you stand back. I'm going to take the lead here.
Huh! That's actually quite interesting, and a pretty cool story, too! Stories from religious texts are always fun to hear. (I'm atheist, but I love learning about other people's beliefs.) These requirements sound almost too easy to be true (and yeah, I agree with your lament on today's Halloween trends), but I think I could probably join the RP if it happens this year, since I don't have any agents yet...
Joy: If we can keep The Thing under control.
The Thing: CALL ME BY MY REAL NAME! I REFUSE TO BE DISRESPECTED SO!
Joy: (looks back) Shut up! Now back to typing...
Anyway, are there any requirements I need to know about other than both what you said and keeping The Thi- I mean keeping myself from screwing up? Please respond ASAP, it won't stay in the cage for long and it's tiring for us to put it back in again.

But still, is there a way to get through these challenges without creating characters that people accuse of being Sues? I gave you a few ideas in the doc. If you want to, you can read more missions so that you get ideas about how an underpowered character (PPC agent/Hypothetically!Your OCs) can defeat an overpowered character (Mary Sue/main villain) by outsmarting them.

So, if you've posted on here before and I've just forgotten your name, sorry about that.
If not, welcome to the PPC! We're glad to have you. As your newbie gift from me, have two cents, so you can put them into discussions.
What're your fandoms? (I'm assuming DOOM is one of them, given what you've linked to.)

I think, in general, lawyers don't represent themselves by
on 2017-06-29 19:42:00 UTC

for a few reasons. The big one is that when it's personal, you might be a bit less objective and miss some legal thing you should/shouldn't do. Another is that not everyone's an expert at all types of lawyering: corporate merger lawyers should probably not try to defend themselves from bank robbery charges since they don't really know how criminal stuff works.

MSTs vs. missions by
on 2017-06-29 19:39:00 UTC

Missions have a lot more of a narrative around the agents, who do a lot more than just snark at the bad, and don't usually show most of the badfic (Unlike a MST, where you just interleave the commentary with the whole badfic/badmod/...).
Well, as to if you can come up with a way to write (and video-ize) a mission about fixing a fangame (and you have Permission, generally), then I'm not sure there's anything stopping. Might be rather hard to pull off, in that I can't seem to think of a format off the top of my head.
That is, to your initial question, initially, "we" is mostly "you" (but once you have some thoughts, we'll be glad to hear them, offer our opinions, elaborations, etc.). I have some vague thoughts on how a videogame mission could potentially work, but they're not very coherent at the moment and I'll gladly hear yours.
