Toroll never showed up until Data was being threatened with a ban, caused enough confusion to buy them time to figure out how to wiggle out the ban, and only bothered the people Data didn't like until Data came back. (Half the time of what was proposed as a temp ban, too.)
After that, they mostly existed as a foil for Data, posting things for them to respond to, and rarely actually harassing them. I am not saying Data is Toroll, but at the least I would assume this is an act put on whenever Data gets bored, with the aid of some ally. In the tumblr VM linked, they almost said as much.

... a member of the PPC community who has been repeatedly harassed by a self-confessed troll, of being complicit in said troll's actions. This is pure victim-blaming; regardless of my personal feelings about Data Junkie, I have never known them to encourage the Tor-using troll in their actions.
On the basis of their six posts so far (three in this thread, three in the thread directly below it), I strongly feel that 'Orwell' is posting for no purpose other than to disrupt the PPC community. I don't know whether they're telling the truth about being a new poster, and frankly I don't care.

Orwell is my name. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. I may be friends with amother member, and communicate with them privately, but this is the first time I have deigned to post on the board.
Of course, I forget, there are multiple "nameless" admins. It must have been your partner then, my appologies.

I, obviously, am Orwell. I'Lloyd let your other member identify themselves or not as they see fit. After all, anonymous authority may be the basis of a dictatorship (benevolent though it may be), but anonymous complaints should be the right of all citizens in a free society.
As for the havoc, certainly this instance was shortlived, but can you honestly say Data Junkie and Toroll haven't been dragging their feud through the board for far too long, with little repercussions on half of the parties involved? And if you had a more sustainable model, you could have prevented Toroll entirely.

You are posting under a name quite obviously chosen for this discussion, while implying that you have previously been part of the PPC community under another name (you've discussed things with one other person, started posting 'recently', and say 'everybody knows' about something that, actually, isn't often stated aloud). That is not 'the furthest thing' from anonymous: it's deliberate anonymity.

Also: you may note that the 'havoc' lasted less than ten hours. Hardly the crisis point you seem to be making it out to be.

Lest people think I am a troll, or heaven forbid Toroll, I would like to present myself as one who is, as they say, a long time lurker/first time poster (or only recent at least).
I suppose the sarcasm present in my first post was poorly conceived considering recent circumstances. I apologize for that, but I do think that this form of moderation is unsustainable considering the size of this community, as proven by the amount of havoc that two (?) dedicated trolls can cause while the admin is away.

It deletes posts by users who have been banned and refuse to stick to the ban voluntarily. That includes the Tor-using troll, among others. The Nameless Admin doesn't moderate based on opinion, or violations of the Constitution, or anything else: just as a technical measure when trolls or spambots get around the IP block.
I am granting you the assumption of good faith here and not assuming you're just the same troll again. But I can't imagine a single good reason for you to post anonymously.

How is this preferable to actual moderation?"

Instead of a discussion about Data Junkie acting against the Constitution, it was basically

And nothing good was going to come from it, especially since it seems Data has left the Board anyway.

This is (we hope) the recording of the reading.
Neshomeh was the narrator, Iximaz was Reicheru, Yuki (I think, and maybe someone else, and Matt Cipher was several people, including Lucy, Reicheru's father, Minna, and Sensei Hanayubi. The spirits were voiced by most of the chat collectively.

A post for Whovians and Whovian betas by

So I published the first chapter of a series that is called "In Times Gone Past." It's about a 17-year-old called Erika, who travels with a mysterious stranger from her dreams...
Your eyes glazed over, didn't they? But don't fret. Yes, this sounds like a Mary-Sue, but that's because I'm planning for this series to be a satire on Whovian Sues we see today. That will mean that every adventure will be as original as possible - no canned episodes allowed! And I do have a planned amount of stories, and an end for it all.
But one thing is clear: this is a very, very complicated project. My biggest yet. And I do need betas, particularly Classic betas, but a critical review posted on this story's Pit entry would be wonderful (seriously, it has no reviews whatsoever, and that always annoys me, to see 22 views but no REviews). But anyway. If anyone wants to beta this or review it or give any advice at all, or if you just want to check it out, here's the link for the first chapter. Second chapter is still in progress. And thank you!

Note that this doesn't quite qualify as an Emergency. More of a… sort of infestation of the PPC, with a noxious fungal growth seeping in via extra-dimensional means. The fungus varies in appearance, and was initially dubbed Ventriloqungus, for its uncanny knack of mimicking PPC voices. This is just my team's reaction. I invite your own in the thread.

"Better or worse than the ypurs?" Mohan wondered, between bursts of the flamethrower at his shoulder.
Lyn waited for another pause, sprayed a burst of liquid nitrogen over the blackened area, and shrugged. "The ypurs were bad, but we got a decent source out of them - so tasteless, you could stretch any recipe out with the paste, remember? This is just… noxious."
A vworp noise and a trail of purple smoke signaled Jof's arrival. The Enderman glanced around, sizing up the area, and shook his oblong head. "Not sure about this," he muttered.
Mohan nodded. "Every time we clear out a patch, it pops up somewhere else. What do you do with that?"
"In some of the consoles, they're just ignoring it," Lyn offered. "Can we seal off this section of the kitchen? It probably won't make it into the Cafeteria proper."
As she spoke, a tendril of the growth rose gently out of the area on the wall, where Mohan's flamethrower hadn't yet penetrated, and reached towards them, emitting greenish spores that churned nauseatingly and sparkled in the cool air as they floated.
The strangely echoing voice of Barid whispered, {you don't even know th—}
Mohan grimaced and blasted the air in front of them, drowning out the inevitable insult with a roar of flames.
"Just keep fighting," Jof said with a shrug. He hefted the heavy axe at his hip and swung it down, shattering the frozen, charred muck on the floor. The crumbs of poison slowly faded from the air, and he reached to swing again. "Don't breathe it in." Another swing, another crunch, another tile cleared. "Don't believe it."
