Welcome, fans of the Protectors of the Plot Continuum and supporters of the Canon Protection Initiative! If you've got a story to plug, an opinion to share, or a discussion you want to join in, this is the place!
If you're looking for PPC stories to read, why not start with The Original Series – the missions of the famous assassins Jay and Acacia, the very first stories in PPC history. Once you've finished them, check out the list of Killed Badfic to find a mission you like the look of, or The Complete List of PPC Fiction to look up specific agents or departments.
Before you join the fun, there are some important links you should know about. Being familiar with these will save you a lot of hassle!
This list is also available as a Atom/RSS feed

I agree, removing editorial commentary is a good first step. But...
On how many places do we list missions? Killed Badfic, Complete list of PPC Fiction, Continuum, Character (sometimes), and Agent pages all list the same things! (As does hS’ Grand Timeline.)
We’re pretty redundant, and it is kind hard to add new missions to all those pages!

This is quite a concept, isn’t it? That means my real Mirror self is quite a genius! And I’m not that new!
((I am a genius! So much! And, I’m not new, you’re just old! I mean that in an insulting way!))
[[Okay, now I’ve confused myself. And I don’t actually mean to be insulting.]]

Though the slowdown on long pages is definitely a thing, and definitely annoying, even on PC. IMO, though, that's something to complain about to Fandom. If we want to use our personal encyclopedia to list things, and we have many things to list, they ought to support that, and frankly, I don't know why the problem exists. Even our largest pages shouldn't take that much computing power to handle.
Anyway, the more people who complain about a thing, the more likely it is to get attention. Even better if it comes from mobile users, since they really have a hard-on for the mobile experience.
In the meantime, if we do start breaking out sections of the Killed Badfic list by continuum, I'd say let's just take it to its logical conclusion: Missions are already listed on continuum pages, so rather than have redundant continuum pages to list killed fics, just add the fic info to the existing pages, as a sub-bullet to the corresponding mission (sans editorial commentary; that's what the mission is for). Then we could even do away with the Killed Badfic lists entirely, which would be fine by me.
... We could trim down the lists by simply removing the bullets of editorial commentary, come to think of it. Some of them are ridiculously long.

That would be, in fact, one reason it is still sitting in my user namespace, where you can't even find it by searching "Grand Timeline". It's almost as though I haven't got it ready for people to edit yet, right?
hS
It's just thicker, and tastes richer due to the higher fat content.
An application I don't think I've seen mentioned yet is using it for cream sauces. This is primarily relevant if heavy cream isn't for you for some reason, though, or you have Greek yogurt around but not cream.
You can also spread it on crepes and the like in place of quark/white cheese--pair with jam and it'll be amazing. I'm admittedly thinking of blintz wrappers rather than super thin crepes, but it would probably work well with crepes too--just use less of it, in theory, since they're a bit thinner, and eat them with a fork.

(Oh, dear, drat, I've used the wrong type of smiley...)
((I absolutely posted and then edited on purpose XD Realism! At any rate, this certainly is a concept, and since there's actually a reasonably developed mirror!me in the linked thread, I actually have the means to make a post. ~Z))
Another article that this applies to is Huinesoron’s Grand Timeline, which I’ve been unable to edit due to it not loading.
And maybe we could split off the crossovers with Tolkien as well? Or double-list them?
And is Harry Potter long enough to split off too? Just out of curiousity.

Though I haven't touched the Wiki in a while. I wouldn't be opposed to making a Tolkien mission subpage and only leaving, say, notable Tolkien missions (TOS + any Legendaries, probably) with a link to the full page at the top of the section. But don't take that as a greenlight to do it until there's a broader consensus.
On a similar note, maybe the List of RCs might need to be subdivided like the Glossary of PPC Characters is, since the length + all the numbers in it being loaded as equations = the page freezes too much when trying to save edits.
and it makes the page as a whole much longer and bigger. Besides, it's also harder to edit the page.
I get the table of contents in a little tab that stays floating on the right as I scroll down, and sections can be collapsed or expanded at will. That's even better than the experience on PC.
In any case, I'm sure Yuki can say what she meant for herself.

So, I saw this thread from a couple years ago and thought it’d be fun to do it again. But this time, the Mirror Multiverse counterparts are pretending to us...and completely failing.
—Ls, who imagines that his mirror counterpart sounds incredibly smug. About everything.
((Greetings! I am the real Linstar, and I’m so spectacularly spectacular that I’m going to start this splendiferous RP (That stands for “Role-play,” puny mortals) in which we pretend to behave as our Mirror Multiverse counterparts! That is, our counterparts in the PPC Multiverse, of course! How gallant of me! In fact I should change my name to Rockstar, because I am one!))
And it’s annoying to scroll down.
—Ls
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe anyone reads down the entire page to find things. More likely, people use the table of contents to navigate to whatever continuum interests them. So, what's the problem with a long section if you can just skip around it?
~Neshomeh isn't sure many people look at the Killed Badfic pages at all, actually.
because the LotR section on the Killed Badfic/Literature list is too long. I want comm feedback before I go ahead and start the page.
But that's why it's better to not write missions out of anger. Anger fuels spitefics.
I've seen a fair amount of spite art, actually -- Twitter's meme of the month last month was favourite ship dynamics, and some people were definitely passive-aggressively editing each other's ship dynamic art to be more or less wholesome. Plus, there were some people on TikTok who got caught a couple months ago tracing "problematic" ship art into their own, ~more wholesome~ ships.
There were also a couple spitefics, too, on AO3 -- there's some people who will deliberately tag ship-bashing fics with that ship. They usually get flagged, though.
...I was more broadly commenting on how I think the cultural shift means that something like the PPC wouldn't spring from those groups. The holier than thou tone is right on though. I can imagine spitefics that are aggressively unproblematic in order to demonstrate the Real Way to write this stuff as a thing.
I knew I was veering from established canon on the training thing, but I thought it fit the characters better. I can definitely see how it doesn’t mesh, though.
Again, thanks for the vote of confidence.
