It's made the same way as any other story: by someone sitting down and writing it. by

In this case, 'someone' was me, and I pretty much just wrote my own agents. The only exception is the Boat Race, where (as Lily said) I used named boats from the thread. It didn't fit the piece to have Estelnar know random people's names (other than Althea, who would have introduced herself when they loaded the boat, I think everyone else she namedrops is perfect Monitor 'article' fodder), and "I saw a boat with an old man and a kid arguing, it had a name but I didn't write it down" didn't work for me.

That I generally am reticent to trust me, but I do trust other people who do trust me. So. I mean. If you all think I'd be a good PG... I will do it to the best of my ability (provided I am not exhausted by other duties I have in life).

(and then doctorlit gets carted off by the CPP for creating 21 One Rings in the subject line)
It reads so off to me to see "Sub Rosa" with no "the" in the front. I guess Architeuthis meant for it to be more a name, like Captain Dandy, than a title, like the Sunflower Official. It still reads very strangely, after so many more recent spin-offs have used "the" there. Weird to see . . . Rosa . . . giving her agents a mission directly, too, although that may be because it's a team-up outside of usual circumstances, and not her usual mode of communication. Wait, the spies get their own laptops?! Don't tell the action departments!
I'm kind of amused that the fic had Draco right there, but still proceeded to make the golden trio into pompous, arrogant brats. That line Ron delivers to Boromir would have sounded right at home in Draco's mouth . . . oh well.

I think it was explained earlier that the boats have to be named to be included. by

kA did mention what happened to their agents, but did not give the name of the boat (but something tells me it would have been a mathematical something for a name!), hence it wasn't in the write-up. That's why only one of Nesh's agent pairs -- Jacques, Jenni, and their family in the Bonny Robin -- got mentioned but the other set -- Derik and Gall -- didn't.
Ki no Shirayuki didn't respond to the prompt, thus Kaguya and Momoka weren't mentioned. It's bad form to cameo other people's agents without getting their permission. (Ask me how I know! ^^;; )
(hS has basically adopted half of the Classic PPC agents at this point, which is why he's able to deploy an entire flotilla of them. :P)
ETA: kA did give the name of their boat........ as a postscript to their comment on this. But again, hS only took the named boats from the original thread.

Best I could come up with was the Fellrazer in honor of the member of the family who was unable to participate, but that makes the most sense for a dragon boat, and I'd already gotten it in my head that they had a paddle-boat. Though, granted, the idea of a bog-standard blue paddle-boat named after a Monstrous Nightmare is kind of amusing. Ah well. I guess I... missed the boat on that one.

*slams manuscript on desk* FINALLY ready to ask for a beta by

Beta request

I've had this mission in the works for way too long and I think I'm about ready to get it beta'd. This is a redo of Tanner and Kaito's first mission, but they've changed drastically from how they're portrayed there so it's not required reading. The fic is also different: Continuity is The Simpsons, and it's 12440 words. Mostly want characterization checkers and people who can help me work out some of the conceptual stuff as well as the endings. And I promise not to publish until I get the go-ahead this time!

Now that I think about it... by

...the majority of the agents mentioned here seem to be agents introduced in Ye Olden Days. That's not a bad thing, these are the agents that have the most established continuity and they don't see much action outside of MM, but it would be nice to see a few callbacks to newer continuity, too! Like Kittyauthor and O'Ryan, or Kaguya and Momoka. Of course, I don't know how these are made, so feel free to correct me if this isn't a good idea.

I'm not as brushed up on The Classics of the PPC and have basically forgotten how to memorize names (or pay attention to them), so the agent references in the coverage of the boat race were a bit lost on me, but I was still able to infer the relevant character traits and thus get the jokes based on their structure. Speaking of structure, I like how they break that supposed "anonymity" they'd given Dafydd's wife (whom I will not name here to preserve anonymity). It's one of those neat details that you only notice on reread, which speaks to your willingness not to insult your audience's intelligence. Bet they're getting a summons from Legal with Constance Illian-Sims's name on it! Page 4 is typical yellow-journalism fare, again slightly lost on me as I don't know these people but still amusing. It hits especially hard today! Page 5 was also nice, although it's a little too real for my comfort, specifically. Which just makes it better! Looking forward to more shenanigans in the future.

Jiwon and Charlie are such a cool team. Literally. They don't really do the outright bickering with one another thing that a lot of other agent partners do; they sorta just vibe together. It gives the feeling that they're veteran agents who aren't very fazed by this badfic at all, but still react to it in funny ways.
The fic itself reminds me of The Room, though that might be because of the line "Oh Hey Olaf".
"I did not freeze her! It's not true! It's bull s***! I did not freeze her! I did naaaaht. Oh hai, Olaf!"And also, it's about the same level of riveting slice-of-life as The Room, so there's that.
The interlude was short, but sweet! The pacing of the joke was excellent, so that last punchline made me laugh. Great job!

Here's Mission Five, an on-and-off project I've had lying around for over a year. Featuring Excessive Capitalization, figures of speech taken far too literally, and the first mini I've recorded in two years. The canon is Disney's Frozen.
And here's a short interlude (as in, two pages and a singular joke) that took a lot less time to write. It's about milk.
Hope you enjoy!

He's been helpful throughout the years, offers good feedback when he can, and I did promise to work on coding in a randomised Permission prompt generator with him!
I also just happened to make the cardinal mistake of promising two fic projects by Midsummer and so have not been doing anything PPC-relatedETA: This isn't because of his response to me earlier. It's been noted that Thoth has been approached for PG-dom before but has been hesitant like I was. I don't know if that's changed, but if it has, well. gestures vaguely

and her ability to offer honest feedback. I just worry there will be misunderstandings with newbies due to Scape's preference for tough-love concrit-giving. It's not for everyone, and PGs as a whole... handle everyone who wants in on the sandbox.
Again, I could be proven wrong! And the best way to prove me wrong is if Scape tries offering feedback on recent/future Permission threads -- my own feedback on recent threads contributed to my nomination. But from where I'm standing, these are my concerns.
If we aren't wedded as a whole to needing three Permission Givers from this election cycle, we could hypothetically vote for one or two now and then get the rest in a couple months? That could give Scape some time to assuage any concerns, if she's keen on getting the job.
