Welcome, fans of the Protectors of the Plot Continuum and supporters of the Canon Protection Initiative! If you've got a story to plug, an opinion to share, or a discussion you want to join in, this is the place!
If you're looking for PPC stories to read, why not start with The Original Series – the missions of the famous assassins Jay and Acacia, the very first stories in PPC history. Once you've finished them, check out the list of Killed Badfic to find a mission you like the look of, or The Complete List of PPC Fiction to look up specific agents or departments.
Before you join the fun, there are some important links you should know about. Being familiar with these will save you a lot of hassle!
This list is also available as a Atom/RSS feed

And he's certainly active around here.

And perhaps being given a Division simply as a way to keep it out of the Board's hair, so to speak, in the same vein as the Shallot's Non-Propoganda Communications Division.

I have (technically) been a member of this community for two years and only have half a mission and an interlude or two done and put up. My goals as of now are to finish that mission if I have enough inspiration and/or write another mission, and maybe write another interlude. The only writing I've done this past year is some bits of poems and fanfic. I'm kind of seconding the "slow down," but don't despair! Writing things takes time.
Getting Permission is a good goal. Before that, I might suggest reading the Original Series, OFUM, and maybe one other OFU and at least 6 spin-offs/25 non-Legendary missions of your choice. Perhaps also actively participating in at least one Board and/or Discord group event such as a RP, game, live reading, and so forth.
Because writing missions requires getting Permission, getting Permission requires knowing the PPC, and knowing the PPC requires engaging with the PPC. {= )

How that fits with the existing Supply Depot, Quartermaster, General Store, pawn shop(s), New Cal shops, and Laundry Room(s)?
Personally, I suspect the Flowers don't care that much about supplying agents with anything other than the "standard" "uniform," which is already handled by the Supply Depot and/or Quartermaster. If anything, I could maybe see there being a division of Operations concerned with making or acquiring uniforms, but anything else might be an agent-led effort. I can definitely see skilled agents making/altering clothes for bartering with as a side-hustle, and/or setting up shop in New Cal. {= )

You still don't have Permission yet--which is totally fine!--but I would set that as my goal, if I were you. We don't really have "legendary PPCers" around here--of course, some of our authors have written more and been around longer than others, definitely, but there's nothing wrong with keeping your PPC writing lowkey and "normal". We did, after all, stop doing Emergencies because of how over-the-top they were becoming. You don't need to write long missions to be good--heck, you don't even need to write missions at all! Infrastructure Departments deserve love too. Recruiting badfic characters is very common, (I've done it!) and I wouldn't advise taking down a Legendary badfic unless you can write a good mission for it.
I hope to see more of your writing!
--Ls has reached the average of three missions so far
I like this idea, but maybe there is another oneoff Flower that could head it that would be interesting to incorporate here? I'd assume that they've been created sometime after the Reorganisation, of course. Maybe I'll write something for this department, though I'd prefer to let you establish things first, as this is your idea.

What matters most is the monster of the week part, keep it wacky, out there, filled with puns, and most importantly, non-human,
I'm thinking more along the lines of an amateur seamstress who doesn't know how she got into this crazy job.
Also, hi! I'm Book. I haven't seen you here before. I took a year-long hiatus, and now I am back for an indeterminate length of time.
A Department of Apparel, concerned with the clothing of HQ inhabitants. Its function may be to design and distribute clothes, repair/alter existing clothes for agents, and/or provide laundry service. Agents in this department may be called Tailors. It would be headed by the Fleur-de-lis (who is by all means just a Lilium candidum, but does not appreciate being reminded of that).
I’m setting these as goals for myself as a PPC writer
-Have at least one mission that TVtropes would consider “The doorstopper”
-See the potential in and recruit in an agent from actual badfic
-Take down a legendary badfic.
You don’t have to do all of these to be considered legendary, being round for a long enough most likely counts.
Harry faces a test of worthiness.
Warning for accidental underage drinking and Cormac McLaggen verbally sexually harassing Draco.
Yeah, Cormac really was being vile this chapter. I should mention, though, that football hooliganism is a known issue in the UK, so heckling during sports can get overlooked like this by teachers. Harry did also punch Draco in the books for this same issue, and he got pulled away and punished as a result, but the fact that Umbridge was the one punishing him did... hmm. I don't think he learnt much from that encounter in the books.
I won't answer it but ;)
It's more of her desire for everyone to assimilate to what is Normal, which is, ofc, a type of racism/xenophobia, but of the sort that's like "you moved here, you play by our customs, if you don't like it go back to your shithole country". But she justifies it with the standard "how dare the Other come in and impose THEIR culture to erase our dominant culture". The fact that it also happens to play into her agenda of anti-men-with-long-hair is just awful kismet.
(But to be fair, the reason Hairfuck Purityworld sticks in my craw is because some of the worldbuilding is reminiscent of Chinese culture, except OG worldbuilder likes to just ~borrow~ East Asian customs whilst treating the East Asian characters in HP badly, so. That's part of why I started writing the Deconstruction.)
Congrats on finding the Chekov's Cabinet ;)
I'm actually kind of proud that I made you like Draco here! Haha. My Job Here Is Done...
Thanks for reading!
Many thanks to Neshomeh for giving me the idea of putting Lindell with a non-human partner who looks human :).
So many sad things happen to the sons of Fëanor. Sometimes I want to give them some time to be happy. I like Maglor and Maedhros being good dads. Madhros didn't get into this one, though I thought about trying to put him in retroactively. I'm not sure I could get it to work.
