This time it's the MÄR continuum, with many weapons having been stolen for Harrison Zhao to use and a kingdom being condensed into a city in PAL.

So, overall, I enjoyed the mission - it was a good example of a short, funny PPC work that showed the bad instead of telling - it helps that the fic was so obviously bad in a funny way.
One minor nit is that I'm not sure you needed "Red-Hair" capitalized at the end there.
I needed to go back through the middle of the interlude (mostly the fight scene) a few times since I somewhat lost track of the characters, but other that that, it was good, and I liked the bookends.
Looking forward to more!

Disclaimer: I do not know WWE very well.
I would personally say no, because you yourself mentioned the fic can't decide if it's using the TV personas or not - and it's the "or not" which really leans into RPF territory. Which we don't mission.
-
Then I would recommend not missioning it, just to be safe. by

The plot itself can't seem to decide if it's in kayfabe or not, and 95% of the wrestlers involved use rgeir character names not their real names, with only one exception.

...misspelling the name of anything from a particular continuum in a fic generates the mini of that continuum, regardless of whichever continuum the fic is set in or how the continua are crossed over. So, if I were to misspell "Harry Potter" as "Harry Pooter," it would create a mini-Aragog even if the fic I'm writing is set in Star Trek and Harry is only mentioned in passing.
The real question is, is it a violation of our no-real-people-fic rule to mission a fic that features pro wrestling characters, given that the characters they portray do not accurately reflect them in real life?

A question about Crossover Minis by

Okay, so I'm currently working on a crossover mission in which the daughter of Lily Potter and WWE Wrestler Shawn Michaels attends Hogwarts. Over the course of the mission there is in fact a mini Shawn Micheals, and in my mind as it's mostly set in Hogwarts it would be a Mini-Aragog, but wanted to double check if there was some rule that had been set elsewhere saying that it would be a WWE Universe mini.

I suspect anomalous means were involved, although it would be quite a stretch of the Foundation's character to presume that they may use anomalies to forcibly recruit staff. Maybe the Gamers Against Weed are behind it.
In any case, I am officially announcing that I am going to take a break from this community, as my previous attempts to remain in two places at once have been unsuccessful. This break may be permanent, so in case I am eternally trapped in the sheer amount of material to read through or die at the hands of the Foundation's dangerous working conditions (although I still rate them leagues higher than the Flowers for the reason that they do make an attempt, and a high casualty rate is unavoidable in a horror continuum), I'd like to thank you for the good times.
Adios.
EDIT: It appears that my preference for one community over the other is affected by which one I have been in recently.
Upon discovery of this clearly anomalous phenomenon, I have elected to turn myself over to the Foundation for containment as SCP-6789 until further notice. This means I may remain reasonably active in the community, though probably not as much as before.

I'm not sure we're on the same page, so just to make as few assumptions as possible, I'm going to ask some questions, if that's okay with you.
- 1. In reference to: "Compared to the lengths others are going to in living the social justice values I share, it feels pretty pathetic to me, so being accused of going too far feels unpleasantly ironic. "
What are the lengths the others going for their social justice value?
- 2."To clarify: My opinion on this issue is informed by what I'm hearing from the larger discourse around me. When I hear Black voices saying things like "white silence is violence," I believe it is incumbent upon me to hear and respond. "
By "larger discourse", do you mean the internet or in real life? Like, do you read articles, forum posts, tumblr, or do you chat with them in person (or through zoom or w/e)?
- 3. More specifically on the Black voices, do you hear ideas and opinions that are different from each other? Such as how they might even disagree with each other greatly?
- 4. What do you think of judging people by the content of their character rather than the colour of their skin?
- 5. What do you think is the definition of racism? I'm asking more for your opinion rather than what's on Google.
It occurred to me just recently that I think I used the phrase "x is one thing, y is another thing" incorrectly. It probably came across as "There's helping people WHICH YOU AREN'T DOING!!!1!" rather than acknowledging that while you are trying to do good, I just don't agree with what I viewed as the hyperfocus on your race. Another thing was lumping together "you wanting to help" with that "hyperfocus" by talking about a vague "mindset". I apologize for the confusion that came from my poor phrasing.
As for the saviour complex accusation I made, it was inconsiderate of me to accuse you of having one and to phrase it the way I did, so I apologize for that as well.

I'm not going to try to change your view, but I'm not sure you've understood what mine actually is. I'm a little offended at being accused of having a savior complex. We're having a polite conversation. This is the only effort I'm making as a would-be activist right now. Compared to the lengths others are going to in living the social justice values I share, it feels pretty pathetic to me, so being accused of going too far feels unpleasantly ironic. Yet, I am doing the best I can at this time.
To clarify: My opinion on this issue is informed by what I'm hearing from the larger discourse around me. When I hear Black voices saying things like "white silence is violence," I believe it is incumbent upon me to hear and respond. This isn't me forcing my ideas of help on others whether or not it's what they've asked for, as a "white savior" does; this is me listening to what others say they need from people like me and doing my best to accommodate, even if it's in very small ways such as this.
I'm not ashamed of being what I am—I didn't choose it any more than anyone else, after all—but admitting that a problem exists is the first step in fixing it. If I can't even acknowledge being a small, incidental component of a larger systemic problem, how am I ever supposed to take the correct steps to improve?
All this was interpreted correctly:
> Acknowledging that historically, there have been white people who have oppressed non-white people; asking white people to help out non-white people when they need it; thinking progress needs to be made to make the world a better place; holding people who hold power accountable
I hope I've made myself more clear.

It's good you want to help people who have been disadvantaged, though I feel that this mindset you have about white people such as yourself isn't healthy. Acknowledging that historically, there have been white people who have oppressed non-white people; asking white people to help out non-white people when they need it; thinking progress needs to be made to make the world a better place; holding people who hold power accountable? That's one thing. This attitude that looks to me like a hyperfocus on a person's race (especially when you use a term like "whiteness" and display what I think looks like a sort of saviour complex tied to your race) I feel is another thing.
If you want to think that way about your race, you do you. I am not interested in having that sort of mindset.
(On the topic of Karens, there are no "if"s on whether non-white Karens and white victims of Karens exist. They're both are a minority, but they do exist and so do the white victims.)

To be fair when I first came up with the idea for Andronikos he was originally going to be a Puritan from one of the Minor Ordos, but then I realised that that would never work, both within the bounds of the PPC and with the character that I wanted to write, hence the new one being a Radical from the Ordo Xenos.
I feel I should point out that he hasn't cheerfully agreed to anything, at the time of the Prompt in-verse he's viewing his stay within the PPC as an alliance of convenience at best until he can work out what he can do to get back to the Imperium.

It's mostly alright to make whatever jokes or discuss whatever problems, but just be aware that you'll be held accountable based on how this comes off, so be extra careful not to insult anyone? That makes a lot of sense to me.

I believe my first mission (Assuming it’s ever published) will have some mini-furies (from PJO, not Marvel). I hope you haven’t had any of those yet.
Too bad it’s only for Boarders you haven’t gotten minis from. I really like those stories.

I had a lot of fun with it...and, well, given you basically prompted it as a continuation to the original, I'm even more pleased you like the result :)
Also, that's a great semi-coincidence! I'd write something about both versions meeting, but I think it would, at the very least, require the little bit of research of checking out said early shipfic, assuming it's still available. For accuracy, of course. Because that's the most important thing about shipfics, right? Right...? Why am I hearing crickets and distant laughter?
What I may be more likely to do is write the next piece of said shipfic, but I'm a little reluctant to say that for sure since I'm currently kind of trying to finish...uh. Three other things? I think it's three. Three main things, anyway, with some extras around the edges that are currently in second place but weren't a couple weeks ago. Something like that. Guess we'll see what happens. I will very much take it over feeling more or less unable to write without sitting on a writers' group call for something like half of March and a week of April, though. At least there's a reasonable amount of actual writing happening now, even if it's occasionally a bit too prone to bouncing between ideas instead of finishing 1-2 pieces at a time. It's not perfect, especially since I wouldn't mind also getting back to things like the writers' group stuff, but I'll take it.
Anyway, this pretty much made my morning a few days ago, so thank you. :)
~Z, who will also get the Tamora Pierce reading going again sometime, hopefully, eventually. Not sure how quickly it'll happen, though, unfortunately. Many things. We'll get there at some point.

To be completely honest though, I'm not sure what to actually do with the team once it's filled out. Minis can't go on missions, and the DIA and DES have actual security covered . . . I'm just going to have to come up with shenanigans within HQ and New Cal for them to get into. We'll see what happens!
I actively try to avoid the humanoid minis, since I know it bothers some folks, but it was a little too hard to resist a Nick Fury for this project. I'm glad it's at least somewhat working out for you?
