It's just that the more complex (and insane) ideas are very hard to incorporate into our already-jumbled PPC universe. At some point we just have to say "stop" and start keeping things simple. It is a shame.

I hope so, though I'll have to finish the Discworld books first (more of the matter of getting them through the library than anything). And there seems to be so many various fandoms here...
*goes off to read what I haven't read already. And maybe some that I have*

...I rewrite it several times, look up a half-dozen small-and-largely-irrelevant things, double-check things, and I still get something wrong.
[long involved semi-rant about hard c, and k, and how they're pretty much the same, cut]
Anyway. *examines the mini-Luggage* Ummm... If it doesn't belong to someone already?

*grin* Yesss. Yes they are.
Ooohshin- um. *folds hands up tightly* Uh...is it safe? (As in: not going to explode, sprout spikes, cause me to be hunted by crazed elves, give off subliminal promptings to take over the world...I have learned to be wary of shiny things.)

Character tournament: Who Would Win? by

So, PitViper and I ended up having a discussion about which of various canonical characters could defeat others in a fight. I think we ought to hold a tourney of sorts; name two characters, and everyone who knows those characters discusses which one would win if they fought.
For example: Cluny the Scourge, of the book Redwall, versus the mortal self of Drip Tiberius Rat in the webcomic Jack. Discuss.

Hello! I'm a newbie here even if I found this place a few days ago (the great god Athe only knows how). I think I'll have fun here, but waiting a month for permission might be hard for me.

How do you get the text so tiny?
Plus, a warning: even geeky, comfortably humorous groups have rules, and things that people frown upon, and stuff, so check out the constitution and don't post half a dozen threads a day.
Other than that, I'm your fellow newbie, so let's be new and awkward together...

Perhaps, but watching the experiments take place might be a great source of stress-relief and entertainment for DMS agents.

Have you seen the ridiculous elf/hobbit ones? Especially the Fellowship hobbit's wives and daughters with Arwen and them... it's not even laughable it's just sick. They even have this generator that gives the weirdest possible pairings ever. And they're PROUD of it! Eek!
Faramir and Shagrat oh my brain...

And him in the river at the end... well, there was this one hilarious blog that said since Bourne had done all he could do, and there was almost no storyline chances left, they should just do it all over again and have Bourne get a relapse of amnesia when he gets shot and thrown in the river for the second time... it was roll-on-the-floor funny.
But if there was a Bourne Four... I'd be booking first night tickets, ya know?

But while we're at it, let's note that it's Neshomeh who's been performing pretty much all of the PG-and-oldbie responsibilities around here lately as I, at least, haven't been around much. So she's doubly awesome :)

We practice... a lot. In summer band camp before school starts, it's eight hours a day on weekdays for one week, then ten hours the next week, and then when school starts we have four hour Tuesday rehearsals, the front ensemble percussion (of which I am a part) has three-hour Thursday rehearsals, and eight-hour Saturday rehearsals. And, of course, we practice during school band periods.
It's a tough schedule, but not for nothing. My school has been in a first-place winning streak for over a decade now.
Thanks!
