As much as I'd love to launch some, real fireworks are not allowed where I am. So I shall launch internet fireworks instead. Come join me!

This holiday doesn't make us ridiculously busy! No sappy, OOC and/or badslash fluff to deal with like Christmas and Valentine's Day (and, to a lesser extent, Hallowe'en and St. Pattie's Day).

I see what you mean... So technically, my fic would count, seeing as it's set in modern times and all the canons have either died or gone to Valinor several millenia ago. On the other hand, I very much hope that my fic doesn't turn out to be full of 'Sues and 'Stus.

Are there any premade forms for permission requests? I can't seem to find any... Or are we just 'sposed to wing it?

Vixenmage, you are made of win just for posting that video.

Eurgh. It's ninety degrees, humid, and I can't go swimming for a few days... >.> Take the converse of the end of the Lumberjack Song, and you have my sentiments right about now.

I know your name, certainly, and I believe I looked at your Permission request last time, didn't I? (Sorry if it seems rude that I can't quite remember, but as you may have noticed, there are a lot of Permisison requests around.)
Anyway, at present, there are only four posts signed with your name on the first page of the Board (two of which are here), none on the second, and two on the third. That's not exactly a great deal of interaction.
Since you haven't actually posted your second request here, why not wait a little while (say a week? More or less at your discretion), work as much as you can on your writing sample, and make a point of interacting as much as you can around here - start a new thread if none of the existing topics hold your interest, and just chat. Then make a new post with all your agent bios, writing samples, et cetera - and don't forget to keep making posts! ;) That should be enough to cover the 'interaction' front quite nicely.

That will work perfectly :)
Although, strictly speaking, she could have adopted a mini from the Adoption Centre after joining the PPC but before getting a partner.
Either way, it looks like you've got it sorted.

I kind of expect there is something in the post for PGs (and others) to look at and decide about whether or not to grant permission.
Been around long enough is quite simple: if it's at least a month, it's long enough.
A little harder is whether you've interacted enough. You should interact enough for PGs to remember your name, preferably in a good way.
Customary is to put up everything in one post: description of agents and writing sample. (or links to both of these). PGs give permission based on the whole thing.

Question on minis by

In fandoms that have two canons there occasionally are characters that appear in one canon, but not in the other.
I'll work here with A-Team, because that's where I encountered the problem. In the movie there is a character named Charissa Sosa (wikipedia and Imdb seem to disagree on how many S's). She most definitely is not a character from the TV show.
Now, what to do when she some how shows up in TV verse based fic, and the author has misspells her name? Would that create a mini or an OC?
(I'm in favour of a movie-verse mini, but mainly because I haven't got one, and minis are instant Rule of funny).

Second Permission Request Attempt by

Okay, I think I'm ready for another permission request attempt, though I'm not sure if I've been around long enough or interacted enough to be accepted into the ranks of the PPC.
Also, there's the matter of the writing sample, since I don't have too much faith in my writing skills. Should I put a bit up first so you can judge whether or not I deserve a spot, or should I just put everything up together?

would that be terribly lame?
But really, they're all wonderful characters. It's like the opposite of Eragon, although comparing the two is almost blasphemy--all the characters are wonderfully deep and three-dimensional and real. I can't really choose a personal favorite, because they're all my favorite.
Jeez, I sound like a kindergarten teacher who's been asked which of her students is her favorite. But it's all true--who cares if it sounds lame?
